Far-Fetched Hypothetical Trade Thread: Part Deux - 2014-15 Edition
Trade season is heating up and the Far-Fetched Hypothetical Trade Thread was one of my favorite things on this forum last year.
This season we are definitely going to be sellers BUT this is a Far-Fetched thread so you can pretend we're buyers if you want.

So with that said. Taj Gibson

I would love me some Taj. He would be a excellent starting PF for us and I think we could have the pieces to grab him.
I'm thinking maybe
Bulls receive: Thad, GR3 or Troy Daniels, and the 2nds we got for Brew
Wolves receive: Taj
or
Bulls receive: Martin, Budinger, 2nd rounder
Wolves receive: Taj
Option 1 - Nothing to really get the Bulls excited but if the rumors are true that Taj is unhappy not getting to start than Thad is a nice option off the bench who could opt out next year to save the Bulls some money as well as getting a raw prospect for Thibs to mold.
Option 2 - Bulls receive a 3pt specialist who could fit right into their offense as a 6th man scoring machine and if we could move Budinger all the better.
Either way we get our starting PF for the future who is locked up for a couple years. Felt good to do that, it's been a while

I was going to propose Martin straight up for Taj Gibson. I think it's an incredibly fair trade. We get a starting PF. They get a great scoring threat and save some money.

I hesitate to move Martin without attaching Budinger or Bennett, I think that Martin's 3pth shooting is invaluable on this team which has enough floor spacing issues to begin with. But lets say we were able to move Thad along to another team for say someone like Afflalo or Chandler (doesn't make much sense for the Nuggets) then hell yeah Martin for Taj straight up would be beyond great.

Add Bennett to the deal and try and get McDermott back as well.

The ones I've posted in the past were:
CHI- Martin
MIN- Gibson
HOU- Jones, Terry
MIN- Martin, GRII
New ideas could include Mo Williams or even Thad Young, but I don't see Flip moving Young.

Love both of those proposals. I think I would go Jones over Gibson due to age.

I was thinking just Bennett and Budinger for Gibson. Sending Martin or Thad would be overpaying. The issue seems to revolve around Gibson's contract. Bulls can shed some dollars here and decline Bennett's option.

Oh, I also brought up this one, but I have no idea if the other team would do it. They are chasing playoffs, though.
MIL: Henson
MIN: Williams
I don't get why, but it's like the Bucks just don't want Henson to truly succeed. When given sizable minutes, though, he's a shot-blocking, glass-cleaning garbage man with decent athleticism and length. They could use a backup PG for this stretch the rest of the season. This trade would be ideal.

That's an unrealistic offer, though. A win-now, championship contender does not make a trade involving their sixth man unless they get better as a team. That means they need significant wing help. They want nothing to do with Bennett and Budinger just like we don't.
