Nene's too important to Washington for them to deal him. He gives them toughness and an interior presence. He also tends to always play really well against Chicago, and that could be vital in the playoffs.

My biggest issue with this proposal is it doesn't fix the biggest issue this team has on defense. Blocking shots has never been a big part of Nenes game. But he plays very good team defense and shoots a high percentage from the field . I think he knows his limitations and stays within himself. If nothing else that 13 mil will look pretty good after next year.

The only reason I think they'd consider it is that they still have some big bodies . Seraphin, Humphreys, Gortat and Blair is still a nice front court. What they don't have are guys that can put the ball in the hoop. Granted the defense would take a hit.

Cam would you be willing to move Thad Young for Stauskas and Thompson?
I think it would be an interesting move, despite Stauskas sucking majorly this year, he could provide three point shooting and Thompson could be the rim protector we need next to Pek. Maybe we could even dump Budinger on them
EDIT: Now that I'm actually looking at Thompson's numbers he really isn't much of a shot blocker, ehh at least he could give us some length. Budinger would have to be dumped on the Kings to make this deal palatable

One of those make a deal just to make one deals. It doesn't really help either team all that much.

I wouldn't touch Kanter with a 10 ft pole. The guy thinks he is way better than he actually is and his agent thinks he's a max guy. That's going to lead to long, dragged out contract talks this summer most likely ending in him pulling a Monroe and leaving in a year. He's not good enough for that kind of drama.
