Totally forgot about the game, tuned in with 9 left in the 4th quarter... I didn't even feel like I was watching the 2014-2015 Wolves. Rubio hitting a 3 off the dribble, Pek hit a fading to the side jumper on freakin' Gasol, them actually being in the game late on. I know the circumstance and style of game was different, but really reminded of the (correct me if I'm wrong) Mavericks game from a few years back, I believe Rubio hit 2 or 3 3's in the 4th of that game as well, the one being a corner 3 that sealed the game.

Games like this are the reason we are all still fans, cause it just gives us so much hope. Here's to "hoping" that Rubio can play this confidently the rest of the year.

I wouldn't get to excited. Zach didn't have it tonight. When they were not in action it looked like it hurt for him to move. There were a few moments where Zach got sick of Thad's pestering and just abused him, but he was not healthy enough to inflect for the majority of the game. It shows in how Zach out rebounded Thad yet played 11 less minutes. The one thing that annoy's me the most is I swear Thad is the worst screen setter in the NBA. He rarely even gets in position to make contact and seems to roll early to avoid it.

I miss Adrian. This team gets pushed around to much and we need someone that is physical and has the mentality to push back just to keep other teams from abusing Wiggins and Rubio. Koufus totally decked Wiggins on a drive and Rubio got pushed around a bit too. I understand it will happen, but I can remember Adrian stepping in when it would happen and when a physical presence like him is on the court it doesn't happen as much because there are already expending a lot of energy just trying to get and keep position.

AB seems to have some confidence issues. He started hot and then both Dieng and Pek got 3 fouls in the first half. He ended up having to play center and just got abused. He tried to hang tough, but Koufus and Gasol are really big and strong. It is not a matchup he should be playing and is not a good way to develop him. The other thing I noticed is that he and Wiggins have chemistry. You can see they have played together in the past and know how to work off each other. I wouldn't mind seeing them play together more.

bleed, you're a confused basketball fan if you think Thad had nothing to do with Zach's poor scoring output tonight. He couldn't do anything to Thad. Four of his six points were scored on Bennett.

Just want to add one thought--if Rubio ascends from a good player to a great player (and yes he's not there yet), the moment to look back on might have happened in tonight's game:

This was the first time in Rubio's career I've ever seen him hunt for a big shot in crunch time. I couldn't believe it. He actually ran behind the 3 point line to take a big shot. And canned it. Honestly, Budinger should give half of his salary to Mike Penberthy, because Ricky all of sudden possessing this sort of confidence is HUGE.

Zach was not trying to assert himself at all on offense. It was the second fewest shots he has taken in all season. He was not fighting for position like he normally does. He is shooting 41% in 3 games this month, but is carrying a 50% season average. Something is off with him.

For the record I like Young better at SF and Wiggins at SG then Martin at SG and Wiggins at SF.

Ohhhhhh. So Z-Bo didn't want to score. That's what it was.

All I know is Thad has turned it up a bit on defense. Last four games against big names (Love, Dirk, Bosh, Z-Bo). All four struggled to do much against Thad.

Give credit where credit is due.

This is where you're delusional. Please don't inundate us with Thad is a good defender nonsense every game now.

I never said Thad was All-NBA Defensive Team, but he is a good defender. I know Cool thinks he's the worst defender in franchise history (dumb statement), but we clearly disagree there and I'm okay with it.
