I agree. All in all, I am all in. If Cleveland called and offered Love back for Wiggs straight up, I would want Flip to hang up laughing. But the D drives me nuts. Philly is as young and bad as we are, and they are playing good defense. We need to copy them.
In the yesterday's Funkadelic Flip commented something like "not that we have a bunch of healthy bodies we can turn it up a notch on both ends of the court."
We can take guesses at what he means, but I really have no idea what he's talking about!

It's going to be interesting comparing these teams to see how the rebuilds go. The question for me is can their players improve more offensively or can our players improve more defensively?
Personally I think it's more difficult to improve offensively so I like where we're at a little bit more. Most of our main guys have above average athleticism so if we get them to put in the effort on that side of the court they should be able to be decent defensively.

I agree with you that offense is much harder to coach up than defense. That being said, what has Flip done with this squad that makes us think he and his staff can coach up a team defensively? We've been awful and the only improvement I've seen is due to the inherent skills of guys like Rubio and Pek coming back. But there hasn't been a lick of improvement in terms of overall team defense from the other guys. That's on the coaches IMO.

Wolfson tweets he hears AB's name has been tossed around. I'm not necessarily in favor, because I don't know that we (or he) know how good he can be. But a guy less than two years from being the number 1 pick in the draft is the kind of guy many GMs will take a flyer on. If Flip can get a good asset in return, I'd be on board.
And again, somewhere in balmy Florida a young man is saying "please, God, make this rumor be true"...
