Of those three, I would bet on Bennett. But that's not saying much.

Now just move Kmart for a late 1st this year, and Thad for the rights to anybody and the rebuild is complete as soon as the draft is over

Payne/Dieng off the bench could be fun to watch. So much length.

Bennett can go at any time as far as I'm concerned. I don't think he'll ever figure it out.

Bjelica seems more like a SF to me, though he's a stretch-PF in Euro ball.

I'm all in on today's moves. Mo was going to be traded or bought out, and Daniels is worthless with another year on his contract. So we freed up a roster spot and money for next year.

I very much liked Payne in the draft given where we were picking (#13). But I was happy with the LaVine pick even though he was a year or two away from contributing. I trusted Flip to address our PF position in the offseason. That hasn't worked out very well. But Payne gives us someone who ought to fit in somewhere in the rotation while we are in rebuild mode, and he could very well pan out to be part of the future.

Flip's chatting with the media right now. Here's one comment:

Flip says it was a tough decision between LaVine and Payne on draft night, but ultimately that tough decision is why today's deal was made.

So Flip regrets taking LaVine?

Maybe Flip knows what he can get for Martin/Young making this an easier deal to make. If Payne gets a first in return what can we get for Young and Martin?

On the surface I am fine with the trade. The wolves will still have their picks for the next two years, and by 2017, if the wolves need a mid to late first round pick to put us over the hump, I think we are in trouble. I like the concept of having payne develop with this team and increase chemistry

Still don't see him trading Martin or Young.
