Mo Williams Trade

Post by bleedspeed »

With Mike Conley hurt what would you want from the Girz to trade them Mo Williams?

I could see trading Mo for:

Jordan Adams
Jarnell Stokes
Nick Calathes

We would then have to cut Daniels and Raduljica or GR3.

I really liked Adams and Stokes in last years draft as late round sleepers.

I prefer to keep mo williams. He is an ideal backup to rubio. A vet that can win you a game or two and in the right role(backup pg) will help the team.

I just think you sell high while you can before he is a FA this summer.

I prefer to re sign mo after the season to get a full season of him playing backup to rubio actually.

I don't see Memphis panic trading Adams or Stokes for a rental. They put in enough work where they can slip a little bit and be fine.

Mo's greatest value to us is as a trade chip. Keep filling it up Mo!! You are helping us greatly.

I think you might be right, but Mo seems like a good backup for them at PG/SG. I am of the same mindset as Cool that Mo's best value is as a trade chip.

Ughhhh!! I like Mo and GR3 (and probably Jeff Adrien who we cut) better than anyone on your list. We need to develop chemistry with our existing players. No need to keep churning the roster, especially for marginal talent.

I'm ok with trading Mo, but you have to get a PG back in the trade otherwise you are just creating a gaping hole at PG even with Ricky coming back. Something like a three team trade with Mo going to Memphis, Adams going to Philly and Wroten coming to MN.

I see value in keeping him, but I also think he's played well enough to where he's our best trade asset in terms of guys that aren't part of the future.

Williams for Henson would be advantageous, but I'm not sure the Bucks would do that. I just know they cut Wolters and Marshall got injured (out for season). They also just added K-Mart to help their frontcourt. Would be a steal, but again, I might be over the top here.

Williams for Stauskas could work too, but the Kings are more focused on upgrading their bigs.

Basically, I wouldn't give Mo away. I don't see an available PG that's better than him (contract included).
