I thought of two different trades for this trio of teams.

1st scenario:
MN gives: T. Young, C. Budinger, GRIII, 2nd round pick *top 10 in 2nd round protection.
MN gets: OKC 1st round pick *lotto protected, KG, K. Perkins
BKN gives: B. Lopez & KG
BKN gets: J. Lamb, T. Young, C. Budinger
OKC gives: J. Lamb, K. Perkins, Future 1st * lotto protected
OKC gets: B. Lopez, GRIII, MN 2nd round pick *top 10 in 2nd round protection.

2nd scenario:
MN gives: A. Bennent, T. Young, GRIII, 2nd round pick *top 10 in 2nd round protection.
MN gets: J. Lamb, OKC 1st round pick *lotto protected, KG, K. Perkins
BKN gives: B. Lopez & KG
BKN gets: A. Bennent, & T. Young
OKC gives: J. Lamb, K. Perkins, Future 1st * lotto protected
OKC gets: B. Lopez, GRIII, 2nd round pick *top 10 in 2nd round protection.

I think bringing in KG and Perkins championship experience and toughness to mentor and compete would be a wise move. Try to bring back both of them and Mo back in the off season as veteran leadership / mentors and I think we create an atmosphere that breeds future success.

I'm fine with keeping Garnett because I'm sure he'd be cool with retiring here. I can't stand Perkins, though, and he does literally nothing on the court to help his team. He'd have to go.

We said the same thing about championship experience with JJ and it didn't make any difference. Title experience doesn't make a difference if your team can't even make the playoffs. We need skilled basketball players which Perkins is far from. Not to mention he would be fourth on the Center depth chart if you got KG as well.

I'm not banging my fist for perkins but if he's on a one year deal, he bring toughness.

Think we'd buy him out before he took up a roster spot here. And his toughness is fake to me. Any time he gets bullied legally on the court, whether in the post or on the glass, he does something chippy to make up for it. To me, that's not toughness.

I guess I agree because I'd rather have a healthy Turiaf over Perkins as they both provide the same depth, toughness, and championship experience. Either way when you add a player like that it's more about what you think there mentoring capabilities are than their actual talent. MN would be bringing in that type of player to help mold the youth.

Perkins was a starter on the BOS championship team where J.J. & Turiaf were more role players, so I think he would offer more toughness than some believe. Dieng just doesn't matchup well vs D. Jordan, M. Gasol and other large Center types but if we have Peckovic and Perkins it's less of a disadvantage. I'd like to keep the rim protection on the court and use Dieng at PF some nights. It don't have to be Perkins, it probably ain't this Radjucula fella, but MN needs to add another large bodied effective center before next year.

Getting KG in the trade and bringing him back for the fans would address the other thing MN is missing.....another rim protector.
