NBA League Pass

Post by BizarroJerry [enjin:6592520] »

So now that we have our team in place, I may sign up for League Pass. Their website doesn't show any prices yet. For those who ordered last year, how much was it? I'm looking for the TV package, not the broadband.

Any blackouts? I think I have to select 3 teams at a minimum, right?

BBTT, my provider was Time Warner, and I bought the season pass last season for $180. With that I got every NBA game except ones involving the Lakers or Clippers since I live in southern California (not a problem, because all of their games are televised locally). I have heard about a package that I assume is cheaper where you select three teams, but when I called TWC they said they did not offer that. This year I will be with Direct TV, and I am hoping that they offer that 3-team deal for a lower price. Sometimes I like having access to all the games, but frankly 90% of my viewing involves the Wolves, and I would be happy paying a lower price to just have access to the Wolves games (plus all the Laker and clipper games).

I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has bought the league pass through Direct TV.

I've had directv nba league pass since 1996. back then you could order one team for 99 bucks or something like that. I've never heard of the 3 team deal but I'd take anything that would reduce the price.

I did it last year with the package where you could select 5 teams, I think I got a package for $99. I found myself only watching the Twolves and Hornets (because I am in New Orleans), but enjoyed it a lot.

Bayou, what service did you have?

And lst, I had DirecTV last season and had all the games. I don't recall there being different packages, but maybe I completely overlooked things. It was nice having all games though. Can't tell you how much basketball me and my roommate watched. Wolves games were automatic. My roommate was a Bulls fan so those games were automatic. Late night West Coast games (Warriors, Clips, Lakers, Wizards, etc) were pretty much automatic since they came on right after our teams. Not to mention if there was a hot game of the night like a Thunder/Heat matchup. I know getting all the games is more expensive, but it really is great to watch more than just your team. You really up your knowledge of the NBA plus it's great entertainment!! Lol

A friend of mine was saying he got NFL pass with his Madden anniversary edition or something, then turned around and sold the game so he got it for next to nothing. Not sure how limited the offer was, but that is awesome. Also if you don't use direct tv, you can still watch pass on mobile/web, so pretty sweet deal.

Camden, I just streamed over my computer, since I do not have cable. I think it was Verizon Broadband.

I've purchased the League Pass through DirecTV for the past 8 years or so and I've loved it. You get the broadband service with the TV package on Directv and it's around 180 if you order at the beginning of the year - and 1/2 that after February.

Frankly I watch more games in the first half of the season when all the teams are still in play.

You get to hear some good announcing - and you get a feel for the fanbase in local markets based on the local advertising they show.
