Big 3

Good read. It was not good to see oour big 3 ranked 7th. I would have thought higher.

Bleed, don't put too much stock in these marketing gimics like Big 3. We have a Big 10 team (2 deep at every position-that's right I'm talking to you too Mr. Dieng).

Re: Big 3
Kevin Martin surely does make it a big 4 in my eyes.
Re: Big 3
Depends on what you call BIG. James/Wade, Paul/Griffin, Hardin/Howard, all of those are BIG IMO. I think with the Wolves we have Love as a BIG player and two on the verge, Rubio for sure, Pek maybe. Martin in my eyes is GREAT supporting player, but he isn't in the BIG category like the previously mentioned players.

If Kevin Martin makes it a big 4 in some of your eyes, then I think you need to rethink what the word Big means in these circumstances. To me it is All-Star or All-Star like production. We officially have 1 of those players. That's why I don't think there are too many Big 3's out there, but there are definitely a lot better big 2's than what we bring to the table. Ricky and Pek both still have a ways to go before they crack Top 5 at their positions and I don't think they necessarily will break the top 5. There are still several PG's I would take over Rubio, a lot of whom are still young themselves. Same with centers. I just think people are too quick to put our big 3 up there when they have essentially played 2/3 of one season together in two years. Rubio and Pek both have a ways to go before they put up what I would consider All-Star production for their positions.

Love to joust verbally with khans, but he is so right on the mark re: big 4. No one except Love has achieved All-Star status while on this team. Hopefully that will change during the coming season -- but not right now.

So if ricky and Pek don't count as a big 3,How about guys like>>Ibaka,Matt Barnes,Conley,Parson,Spiltter,Nash,Gallinari,Iggy? Because they are all on that list..

It all comes down to how you qualify BIG. That article is simply looking at where the Wolves three best player would sit in comparison to other teams top three. The reference to BIG THREE was a mistake IMO. The whole BIG THREE idea has picked up steam again with James, Wade, and Bosh winning a couple championships, but the idea is far more common than the reality of it.
I honestly think a BIG THREE is hard to come by. I don't really consider Bosh to be a BIG THREE type of player, and Wade is on his way off such lists lately. As has been said, to really qualify as a BIG THREE type (in my book) the players have to be all star types. Rubio, Peck, Martin, along with Love makes for a very nice TOP FOUR, but that isn't what I would call a BIG THREE/FOUR.
