As for Shabazz, forget the name... it's a rookie who got picked 14 in a weak draft with only had one year of college and maybe some maturity issues. Anyone who expects anything better than D-league from that resume is wearing rose-colored glasses.

I will be shocked if he doesn't spend significant time in the D-League. And I believe it will be in his best, long term NBA career interest to do so.

I still think we as fans are wanting a version of Kevin Martin that he just isn't anymore. I'll settle for him being what he was a year ago (even as a starter), but man, we're spending a lot for him to be what we kinda ideally hope someone like Budinger could be.

I think Martin was a good pickup. Out of the 3 SG's we were targeting (Mayo, Martin, Reddick) he is the best fit just because of his familiarity in the system and the efficiency at which he produces. We had to pick 2 out of 3 in terms of height, scoring and defense. Martin fit the first two and Mayo and Reddick were closer to the second 2. Efficiency doesn't go away. He may not get to the line as much, but he is still a highly efficient scorer which is something we needed with Love and Pek needing touches on the first team offense. If we can get 23 out of Love, 18 out of Pek and 15 out of Martin, that is a pretty good top 3 as that would be a large chuck of the offense out of our 3 best offensive guys. A good offense needs balance and we should have that this year.

I am pretty high on Martin especially considering the other options that were available.

I haven't given up on hope of Bazz as a player in the future, but as it stands it seems like there are alot of guys in front of him to get minutes at the wing positions. That could all change with an injury (Martin will miss some games so bazz may have a shot then) or maybe he really impresses in training camp and practices. This year anything positive we get out of him is a bonus. I think thats realistic since he is 20 year old guy thats only had one year of college.

K-mart is going to be a beast. quit hatting and thinking he is only going to do what he did last year. He will be starting on a team where he will be the number one guard to score for the team. I believe that his numbers will improve from last year and help the T-pups get a good seed in the playoffs. (as long as everyone stays healthy)
