So if Okogie is our starting 2 or 3, we need a 2 that can shoot (like Beasley). If Culver is our starting 2, we need a 3 that can shoot. We can't start both at the same time.

If Beasley has any sense and the Wolves decide he is stable enough to be around the opportunity for him is here and Signing a 1-year deal could help get him on track...depending on what happens with the draft. The team still could use some shooting. On the other hand...how many games will he be suspended? Another angle...can you trust this guy not to be doing stupid stuff during a pandemic? It's going to suck if we basically have nd up with nothing from him but the positive I see is that we would not be stuff paying a guy a decent chunk of money that's not worth it if they found out about these problems a few months later. Silver linings...

Also...Wolves simply draft some freaking shooters. At least one guy acquired in this draft needs to be a perimeter shooter.

Beasley's qualifying offer to keep him as a RFA is 3.8 million. Unless things are really bad I'd feel comfortable doing that.

Juancho's qualifying offer is 4.6 million. Is that too much in case he just ends up playing next year for that much? I hadn't thought about it much before. I'd guess that doesn't happen but something to think about I guess.

This whole thing might be contract manna from heaven. Sign that QO and let the market dictate.

I just can't get excited about Juancho. I get that he helps you play 5-out ball because of his shooting, but he has very little to offer beyond that.

So let's say we keep #1, keep 17 or make a move and still don't have a volume long range bomber. Who's there at #33 that could be our Danny Green?

I highly, highly doubt that Gersson Rosas comes away from this draft making three selections, but if he does by some chance pick at 33 with intentions of keeping the rights, then I like:

- Paul Reed, F
- Cassius Stanley, G/F
- Jordan Nwora, F
- Payton Pritchard, G

There's about 10 guys I like better than this group that I would take if available, but these are guys that are expected to go late in the first or early in the second that I have interest in for one reason or another.

That's why I brought up the qualifying offer Q. I'd guess you would not offer that to keep him as a RFA. I'm sort of a fan of Juancho as a decent bench player but I'd rather pay him less a year than that. I mean this offseason I wonder what kind of player 5 million or so could get you. Obviously the Wolves are likely going to be just working with the mid-level but anyway. He turned 25 and had some bumps in his career that may have kept him for developing. I'm not suggesting he has some high potential but I think he could have some real value IF his 3 shooting is worthwhile which we didn't even know at this point.

Correct, I don't want to offer him even the QO.

I doubt it too. Thanks for the list.

I think we need to move on from Malik Beasley. The more I information that's coming out the worse it's looking. And quite frankly you don't build a winning culture with guys that like on your team.
