Well Cam, our instincts were right on this one. But it wasn't tough to figure this out. It's unfortunate for this franchise. Gersson's conduct must have been really bad. I hope, for his sake, he can get his shit together.

That would make sense and help explain the abruptness of the termination. I'd bet the new owners found these things through their vetting process.

As I read your rumor and Q's take on it... and knowing the complete lack of tolerance for any of this type of stuff in 2021... it makes sense.
The only rub was that this is the Wolves so "not making sense for basketball reasons" was always a possibility, too.

Crazy how much they were playing up the moral character of Rosas at the hire. Really sad.

I go back to Taylor. Man, that guy SUCKS at hiring on the basketball side. Fucking do your homework and don't just rely on references from other owners/POBOs. If Rosas created a toxic work environment, then surely there were signs of this in his prior stint. The basketball world is a small one and there are ways to find this stuff out. He didn't suddenly turn into an unethical jerk after coming to Minnesota.

I read the same thing, Cool. I hope it's accurate because I'm high on Finch as a head coach for this team. Honestly, the more you think about it, the more you have to believe Rosas did some pretty bad stuff that probably has little if anything to do with basketball. I've been around long enough in the business world to recognize these sort of abrupt firings shrouded in mystery for what they truly are - terminations for serious misconduct, either a single incident or a pattern over time.
The only thing I can point to in terms of Rosas and his job that makes me wonder now that he is fired is how things went down with Juancho this summer and the Olympics. As I said at the time I totally supported the Wolves not letting him play. Still it felt like something wasn't right about how it was handled. At the very least there was some sort of missed communication. Was it a HUGE deal? No. Did Rosas throw someone under the bus or basically lie about what actually happened? Was this just one incident that we know about that was just one more public example of some other issues? Idk
Like you Lip I tend to think there was something that brought this to an actual firing not a "We want to move in another direction..." even if Glen is starting to give Arod and Lore more influence than was expected Glen tends to keep people around that he likes. Why didn't Glen want to keep Rosas around? Could he have been convinced to make a move by Lore and Arod? Sure but that seems less likely to me. Weird GM firings etc aren't unusual but really it feels like nobody saw this coming. It has to be something.

Im usually very hard on Glen, but I have also met some complicated characters that hide behind a moral facade. This is just really sad. Double life caught up with him I guess.
