The minutes are so up and down and sample size so small, it's hard to really discern much from it. Nevertheless, the trend is improvement and that's about as much as we can hope for.

Yes, Bolmaro has shown nice improvement this year. Last yest he got minutes mainly in blowout wins and meaningless games but this year he has got minutes as regular rotation guy even though Barcelona's msin backup point Heurtel has been back from injury.

Bolmaro is obviously still far from sure thing as for example last NBA players from Barcelona team Abrines and Hezonga both had arguably better stats as same age. Both did also show nice improvement in their play in Spain but in NBA they didn't show any improvement after their rookie season.

Bolmaro has been much better at drawing fouls and has better handle and court vision than either of those players though. So I believe he should be better suited for NBA. At least I feel that Euro guards that won't have those abilities tend to fail in NBA much more often.

I think a big difference is that Bolmoro has a much stronger defensive reputation/looks like he might actually be able to defend someone or at least care. Hezonga was a boom or bust guy based on his offensive talent. Abrines is kinda slow. Bolmoro moves like a guard.

Bolmaro continues to get steady minutes and is playing well, now shooting 45% from the field and 38% from 3, counting all competitions (Euroleague, ACB League, tournaments, etc.) over 48 games. He's been in the regular rotation during a long stretch of games where Barcelona has won 18 out of 19. He'll turn 21 in September.

He could be huge for the wolves next year in the sense the Wolves might not have a pick or cap space to add anyone

That's a good way to think of it Kek. Is he contractually able to come over next year?

Yeah, I have almost no doubt they will bring him over. My question is whether they look to move Rubio between now and the beginning of next season or do they keep him around and bring Bolmaro on slowly as a 3rd string ball handler.

FWIW Bolmoro has now played in 48 games (averaging 11 mpg) this year and the shooting stats are starting to look just fine. The last couple highlights I had seen his jumper looks better.

Below is a 57 second video from Twitter of Bolmoro in a recent game.

Thanks for posting, Monster. His shooting for looks good in the video. Not enough data for his stats to provide any meaningful information. He's averaging around 10 minutes per game, averaging less than 1 three-point attempt and just over two FG attempts per game. I still don't understand the pick, but maybe there's something there.

I agree Lip, hard to really discern what kind of player he'll be. My only point in highlighting him is that the little data that is available is trending in the right direction. We'll take whatever trickle of positive news we can get.

Lol. I can't disagree with you on that. :)
