The Wolves jumped the Grizzlies and Lakers in the standings and now sit in seventh. They're also tied with the sixth-seed Blazers at 10-10. Minnesota is 7-3 in their last 10 games.

Finished the game and thought I would check out the message boards to see the highs and lows from the posters. It was certainly a roller coaster. I again thought we would lose once we entered extra minutes, since we had lost 7 straight in OT (according to the broadcast, but it sounds about right!)

It's still early in the season but DLO has been a complete 180 of himself for most of his career. I did think there was a chance he could be decent on defense, which even when he is typically on the weakest link he is doing a nice job. I saw the Brooklyn season as a possibility that if he is in the right situation he can be a positive. He just mails it in when the team/record is shit. Plays half ass. So while he has certainly been part of the problem of losing teams, he can also be part of the solution of a nearly winning one.

.500 isn't too bad.

He struggles if left on an island defensively against a ball handling guard, who can usually blow by him with ease. BUT, he has been playing good team defense this year in terms of his rotations and using his length to bother shots and get deflections. It showed on the penultimate Sixers possession where he stole the ball.

It was a while ago. They lost their last 6 or 7 OT games I believe until this one. That's just incredible because if you think about OT games, the odds are usually ~ 50/50, yet leave it to the Wolves to lose six or seven straight. But it appears we are breaking these types of curses of late!

It was nice to see our last two baskets scored by someone other than DLO, Edwards, or KAT on iso plays. The feed inside to Naz and ensuing post move for the easy bucket was refreshing to see when so many of our shots is someone launching a hard-as-hell contested jumper. And then DLO's feed to the streaking Prince was a great find too.

Great win overall, but let's be honest, Embiid did that to us at about 70% capacity. He was running on fumes from about the 4th quarter on yet still was dominant.

I wonder what Sixers fans think now about a DLO for Simmons trade!? Not sure it would even be entertained still, but with Simmons languishing and the Sixers playing .500 ball, I have to believe fans are getting a bit antsy with Morey!

Crazy game. Fun game.

For those who just say that officiating evens out... is not a Timberwolves fan.

I'm not a rip the officials sort of guy... but they did not do well tonight. Hopefully... someday... the Wolves will have a guy who gets "superstar" calls. Those few extra points in a game make a world of difference in W/L records.

Gutty win. That can't be said often about the Timberwolves. Great run for the Wolves... and its loyal and patient fans.

I think Naz Reid might be the one guy that gets screwed over more than anyone. He gets absolutely no respect on either end.

He sure thought he was owed multiple And-1s tonight.

Jon Krawczynski
@JonKrawczynski
KAT on Bolmaro: "What Shaun Livingston was for the Warriors during their run, I want him to be that for us."

That's an interesting comparison. I get it in terms of his size and ability to run some point, but he has to develop a LOT more confidence and chops on offense. He was trying to do that in the G-League where he carried a pretty high usage.

I honestly felt like Joel Embiid was held in check for most of the night. Minnesota wisely brought double teams to force the ball out of his hands and turn him into a passer. Several times it burned the Wolves by leaving a shooter wide open, but Embiid never really got going until very late with some tough fadeaway jumpers. And let's not ignore the fact that he benefited greatly from the referees awarding him 21 (!) free throw attempts and several bizarre no-calls defensively. He could have easily fouled out before overtime if the game had been called similarly for both teams.

Oh, well. I can't stand Embiid as a person and I'm glad he and the referees took the L tonight.
