It's just past midnight Central Time, March 25. That means the NBA trade deadline is a little less than 14 hours away. So here's the question:
Will the Wolves complete a trade by the deadline? If so, what player or players will the Wolves end up trading away?

Re: Wolves Trade-Deadline Deal?
That loss to OKC was alarming even if they did get really hot from 3pt range. I think it put Rosas on notice, he needs to do something. Good, bad or meaningless he will make some sort of move. I'll predict a 1st top 5 protected, a 2nd, Culver and Juancho for A. Gordon.
Re: Wolves Trade-Deadline Deal?
The imminent return of both DLO and J-Mac (who might even be available tonight) is very good timing for Rosas if he has any intention of moving either Rubio or Russell today. Finch has tried Nowell at backup PG and some here have even advocated for giving Ant some minutes at the point. I don't like it though...Nowell and Ant are pure wing scorers, and trying to force them into a PG role does them a disservice. Rosas can now be comfortable that he has a good second option at PG in J-Mac even if one of the others gets traded today. If both Rubio and Russell stay and Finch uses them both at PG, minutes for J-Mac will be tough to get. But it's comforting to have him available nonetheless.

Re: Wolves Trade-Deadline Deal?
Gallinari is having knee issues again and will most likely missed tonight games but who knows it might be worse. He was only supposed to be out 1-2 games then missed 5-6 weeks.
I don't think we ever see beasley in wolves uniform again. I think Beasley culver and lottery protected first round pick for Collins and what ever salary filler they need to make it work.
Also don't underestimate Glen hating the PR of Beasley incident. We run squeaky tight clean team here.
As FNG that loss to OKC was embarrassing so why would rosas not go all in. I've said before in another thread with cam I don't understand why people are so protected of this 2024 lotto pick. By the time it comes around will know if it worked or not. If it works great if not will blow whole thing up and be getting picks for Collins and KAT and DLO. Aka recouping our first round pick.
Then you go into unfortunately another rebuild with Edwards and hopefully our first round pick of next year.

Re: Wolves Trade-Deadline Deal?
As the Timberwolves approach the trade deadline, they have no intention of entertaining trade offers for big man Karl-Anthony Towns, shooting guard Anthony Edwards, or point guard D'Angelo Russell, sources tell Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.
As Krawczynski explains, the Wolves view those three players as cornerstone pieces and are eager to see how they look together under new head coach Chris Finch once Russell returns to action.
Russell, who underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to remove a loose body in February, has started to work out with the club and could begin participating in team activities this weekend or early next week, per Finch (via Krawczynski). D-Lo's exact return date will hinge on how knee responds following last month's procedure.
Here's more on the Wolves:
Minnesota has been receiving a number of calls about Malik Beasley and Jaden McDaniels, sources tell Krawczynski. However, the club is reluctant to part with either player. The Wolves believe McDaniels has the potential to develop into a versatile, shot-blocking power forward who would be an ideal complement for Towns.
Krawczynski confirms a previous Bleacher Report story that indicated the Wolves and Magic were making progress on a potential Aaron Gordon trade prior to the forward's ankle injury earlier this season. By the time Gordon returned from that injury, Minnesota had fallen well out of the postseason, and the 25-year-old is hoping to be sent to a playoff team. That doesn't mean the Wolves couldn't still acquire him, but they may not be confident about their ability to sign him beyond his current contract.
During his televised Trade Deadline special with Adrian Wojnarowski this afternoon, ESPN's Zach Lowe suggested the Magic would "love to get their hands on" McDaniels in any Gordon trade with the Wolves.
The Timberwolves have previously inquired about trading for Raptors swingman Norman Powell, but were unable to agree on compensation, says Krawczynski.

Thanks for posting this, Cam. No surprise that KAT, DLO and Edwards are off the table. I'm happy to hear about Gersson's reluctance to part with McDaniels or Bealey. I hadn't heard about the Wolves interest in Powell. What would you think of acquiring him and what would you think the Wolves would have to give up to get him?
Re: Wolves Trade-Deadline Deal?
Lip, you gotta quit posting after midnight! I've been refreshing my phone all day as I have been driving around town relying on your post that the deadline was 2 pm CDT today. For those as uninformed about matters such as these as I am (and, um...also Lip ;-) ), the deadline is actually 2PM THURSDAY. So, still 23 hours for each of us to get our particular dream trade.

Norman Powell makes Malik Beasley look like John Stockton.
I hope Rosas talked to Towns and he's cool with 7 shots per game...
Powell is averaging a career high 1.8 apg.
Re: Wolves Trade-Deadline Deal?
The Timberwolves remain in the Aaron Gordon trade mix along with well-known suitors such as Boston and Denver, league sources say.
Minnesota had what one source termed "serious" trade talks in late January for Orlando's Gordon before a bad ankle sprain sidelined him for a month.

I'm a little more interested in Gordon the more I look at him. I might even consider the rumored Rubio/Vando/lottery protected 2013 pick deal, but only if the Wolves are committed to moving Rubio to the bench upon DLO's return. We immediately get our starting PF, and it clears the way for DLO/J-Mac at PG and for Rosas to finally see if his DLO/KAT dream can come true. I would prefer a straight up deal involving Beasley, but it sounds like the Magic need to get a pick back.
I haven't wavered though on my preferred deal...a signed Collins traded straight up for DLO...despite reports I read here today that Rosas is committed to Russell. Maybe Rosas takes a look at this article and has a change of heart:
