19 TOs and our 2 max players had 12 of them...ouch. But I'll say it again (and I hope I get to say it more this season): DLo showed me a lot on defense. 4 times at least I saw him make the right play to double at the right time. I don't know if I've seen him make the correct double team move four times in his career! I'd love to think the guy is figuring it out on defense, because we know he's not going to have many bad offensive nights like tonight.

Not exactly a shooting clinic the second half but closed the game getting back at it defensively. Finch has these guys playing really hard. Gotta love that.

Actually, the game opened at 6 and moved to 7 1/2 by tip off. A lot of smart guys in Vegas won both ways by middling this one.

Isaiah Hartenstein would have been nice for games like this. Pick your big. The Wolves need another one. Tonight illustrated the reason why.

Seconded on JMac, he came in and made big plays and settled the team down a bit. Love that Finch noticed and kept him in.

The Pelicans aren't a good basketball team without Zion, but they did average 105 PPG in their first two games. Quite impressive to hold them to 89 tonight. There wasn't one T-Wolf who disappointed me on defense tonight, and it's been a long time since I've been able to say that. I guess we'll find out next Wednesday if this defense might be real or not.

Well, luckily for Minnesota he remembered in the fourth quarter. He returned to the game with 5:29 left in the game and promptly scored eight points while shooting 3-4 FG, 2-2 3P in the quarter. Again, the guy played poorly for three quarters. Give him credit for coming up big in the clutch while Karl-Anthony Towns could only watch from the bench. Good teams find a way to win. Proud of this group despite the ugly showing.

Chris Finch on that postgame: "Seems like he has more offensive fouls than any other star in the league."
