lol at Leandro already annoying a player defensively to the point where he took a frustration foul

Okogie, McDaniels, and Vando have put on a clinic defensively. Just terrorizing the kids on Houston.
Yeah. Imagine Beverly too. We may have the potential to really muck it up when we have to. Good win. Go Wolves.
Perhaps we just had to flood the system with enough defensive juice to finally change the culture. Beverley, Okogie, Vando, McDaniels, Wright, Bolmaro. We've now got guys in the starting group, 2nd string group, and 3rd string group that all bring a defensive mindset to the table. It may finally be enough to bring the rest of the team with them.

Welcome to the club. You will NOT go back to the commercials, halftime delays, instant replay delays, free throws and everything else. Enjoy those extra 67 minutes of your life back...
82 x 67 = 593,468 minutes per season! That's like 23 full days! Or something.
One of the best parts about the condensed games on NFL Game pass is not having to listen to the announcers.
Watching the games later is worth it for all the reason you stated.
I jinxed myself.
DVR was out tonight. I saw bits and pieces live... maybe about 1/3 of the game. (Still waiting for Comcast... 3rd call of the night... and I'm on hold. It's been 55 minutes.)
Fortunately, I have a nice boxscore to tide me over.

If I missed tonight's game, I would absolutely avoid heading https://nbahdreplay.com/minnesota-timberwolves-vs-houston-rockets-20-oct-2021-replays-full-game/here to watch the full game replay once it gets uploaded in a couple hours or so.

Actually, I think Okogie shines in our new defensive schemes. And I absolutely love the focus on protecting the rim!
While you can't get too hyped by beating a bad Rockets team, this is exactly the kind of team we would struggle to beat in previous years...

I'm not basing this take off of tonight's game, but I've always felt like Karl-Anthony Towns was more talented, more gifted, and just plain better at basketball than Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic. Obviously, those two have gotten more recognition for their play due to their teams having more success in the wins column, but hopefully that changes this year. Tonight's game was a good start, but they need at least 40 more. KAT could legitimately have a 25-10-5 season on 50/40/90 shooting. He's that good.

I guess its kind of my point. With enough talent to compliment his strengths and make up for his weaknesses he's enjoyable.

If Josh Okogie could just shoot 35-percent from three on about four or five attempts per game, he'd be a valuable asset. And he'd probably make 10-14 million a year in this league. I don't know why he'd work on anything besides his jumper during the off-season.

Great win tonight! Ant, Kat, and DLo all had stretches where they looked unstoppable! 2 things stood out to me - 1) The Wolves were helping each other up and cheering each other on. And I loved the team meeting at mid court after the game. It really feels like a real "team". 2) 10 Twolves had steals tonight. I remember weeks where we didn't have 10 steals as a team. Let's hope the defensive intensity continues!

No Beverly tonight and yet we just look a lot tougher and edgier. When Pat joins the fray it's going to be fascinating. Have we ever really been a team with the ability to bully our opponents? The really cool thing is it looks like playing defense is in vogue and seems to be infectious. I think you have to give Kudos to Finch for the transformation. Yes we aren't built very seriously, but something feels very different about this group.
