Surely they could have got Larry Nance Jr instead! I'd even let them keep their 2nd.

There are reports that the Wolves might include mcdaniels in a big trade. If that is the case Prince would fill that next role

That would be inline with other Rosas deals I guess. Sure why not.

No they can't - not if they're going to sign Bolmaro. And it seems obvious that the they're going to sign him. The full MLE is around $9M. With Bolmaro, the Wolves will be around $7.8M under the luxury tax threshold after the Prince deal. If the Wolves sign Vanderbilt to a minimum contract, which they should, they'll be around $6.3M under the threshold. And they'd still have 1 roster spot to fill.

I doubt this deal is intended to expand the pool of potential free-agents acquisitions. I haven't read the reports kek was referring to, but I suspect those reports are accurate. This Prince deal looks like a precursor to a bigger deal involving McDaniels. Otherwise, why on earth would Rosas trade one of his few assets for a mediocre 6'7" 218 pound forward who doesn't provide size, toughness or rim protection - the things this team really needs? Price is a decent 3-point shooter, but his overall FG percentage is pretty bad at around 40%. I haven't looked at his defensive stats, but he's never struck me as a great defender.

Bottom line for me is this. First, if this deal is indeed a precursor to a bigger deal, Rosas better have that deal locked down already. Otherwise, it't just a repeat of his ridiculous decision to trade up for Garland when Garland wasn't really there - chasing a phantom. Second, if the deal includes McDaniels, which I suspect it does, then the deal had better bring in Ben Simmons or a comparably elite but still relatively young player.

Did you see the report that the sixers asked the warriors for Wiggins, Wiseman, 7, 14, and two future firsts?

They also tried the raptors for #4, OG Anonouby, and VanVleet.

Granted I know it's all posturing to get a better deal for Morey, but when I see reports like that I'm not sure how the Wolves get in the Simmons conversation.

Wait, I though we got a 2nd round pick from the Cavs! But we actually sent them ours? And didn't get Larry Nance instead.

If this isn't a precursor to another deal then I have lost all faith in this front office.

Not liking this deal, but will see what other dominoes fall in the event this is a means to another end. If this is meant as just a standalone deal with no other bigger-picture moves, then color me unimpressed. While I'd like to see us upgrade Okogie as our backup SF and super small-ball PF, I'm not sure Taurean Prince is that guy. He shoots better but probably does everything else worse.

Unimpressed doesn't express my view of this deal. I want to believe Rosas knows what he's doing, but he keeps reminding me that he's an idiot.

Trading Rubio would seem to create space for a PG wouldn't it? Are we just going to go with DLO and Nowell? Or is Ant going to become the defacto point guard?
