Wilfs have proven to be awesome NFL owners.

Given all the destruction they should just buy the entire city of Minneapolis, it can't be worth much at this point!

Didn't KG criticize Taylor pretty harshly recently? That can't help his chances.

It will be interesting. I know a few companies downtown are not going back once COVID19 is past us. I think we will see an impact in corporations wanting to open satellite offices here moving forward. This will impact pro sports since these companies rent suites and buy tons of tickets for various events. If you want Viking season tickets there will be a lot of them coming up for people that don't want to go back to Minneapolis.

If KG comes up with an ownership group with the price Glen wants I don't see it as a significant problem. What KG will have going for him is he clearly will be keeping the team in MN. The only problem with that is KG won't have the biggest financial stake so...I suppose someone could end up overruling him at some point. Would owning a team keep KG from being part of the media and therefore keep him from making more money?

I'd feel very good if the Wilfs bought the team. They seem to strike a good balance of being involved but not meddling etc.

@KevinGarnett5KG:
My passion for the Minnesota Timberwolves to be a championship team is
well known but I have a deeper affection for the city of Minneapolis. I
once again want to see Minneapolis as the diverse and loving community
that I know it is. (1/2)
No two people love the city more than myself
and Glen Taylor and I look forward to trying to work with him to
achieve my dream. (2/2)

Agreed. They are a top 10 NFL owners in my eyes. I would feel better if they are involved.

In terms of a storybook type thing it would be amazing if KG bought the team and the franchise took off including Ryan Saunders as the head coach for the next 20-30 years and the franchise wins a couple championships and is considered a top franchise and winning team basically every year. Do I think that will happen? No but it sure is a neat idea. If I was an ownership group I could see KG being an asset as a legendary figure for the Wolves. He would probably bring in some money in terms of fans revering him etc.
