Heck, even this season.

Yes he let Andrew Wiggins shoot more and both Towns and Russell gave up shots this year to Edwards and maybe to some small extent Patrick Beverly! Lol

Offensively though you can't get too far away from KAT. That's his strength and he draws a ton of attention. The real issue is that if Ant eventually becomes a 1A type option that can shoot, score, handle, and pass (i.e carry a massive usage), then do you really need DLO as your starting PG? Perhaps a younger version of Pat Beverley is more suitable next to that kind of player. Then go out and find a PF that is more offensively versatile than Vando.

I'm pretty sure the player your looking for is Tyus Jones ;)

I like both players but honestly I'm not sure how Brogdon is much different than Russell and he has a hard time staying healthy too. Sure he is locked into a reasonable contract but will he be healthy? The answer here might actually be Jaylen Nowell another 2nd round pick with a well rounded skill set...in theory.

The question with Russell (as well as some other players we could go after) is what is the price tag? If he is around the cost of Brogdon then I would be happy to keep him. If we are looking at a 30 million a year contract then yes we need to be considering other options.

We already have the PG's we need in (I heart Pat Bev) and J-Mac both scrappy won't give an inch and only need to be supporting cast on the offensive end with Towns & ANT. Turn DLO into a 6th man that's his best role, a bucket getter off the bench in limited minutes = best impact on a winning team.

I think it's quite telling that DLO has not got a contract offer. Pat Bev got a contract, the extra year as the leader of this team. The closest deal we made trade wise was M. Smart but the asking price was viewed as too high. A 1st & M. Beasley actually doesn't sound that high to me for a dog of a player like M. Smart.

Dlo is not eligible for an extension until this offseason

Dlo has been annoying this last couple months and he has been super inconsistent this year but the Wolves are 42-28 when Dlo plays this year including the postseason and 7-10 when he doesn't. It all comes down to the money he will get.

Also dlo has been cool being the 3rd fiddle and seems like the calm leader of this team. He needs to make shots but it will be a super interesting offseason with him.

Kat is annoying to watch when things go bad. But he is still by far the wolves best player. I also think we (and me) overreact to a bad game here. Like CP3 scored 4 pts, Durant just got swept and played bad, Trae Young has struggled, Mitchell can't guard anyone, all the bulls have struggled to score.

Also we have to remember all the gamelan for the Grizzlies is to slow down Kat. If they trade Kat all that attention goes to Ant and personally don't think he is ready for that. Ant is like a HR hitter right now but he doesn't consistently make others better at this point in his career. Kat is annoying, I'll bitch about him but still the best and most important player on this team
