Before the Lakers hire a coach...or even fire Vogel they need to figure out what they are gonna do with Westbrook. I still don't think Westbrook is a bad player but it certainly didn't work with the Lakers this season. Are they basically stuck with him? Who out there would be able to get the most out of Lebron, AD, Westbrook etc or is there anyone? Sounds like a fun job.

It's the NBA.

I've yet to see (m)any untradeable contracts yet.

Although, the Lakers are going to have to find a very specific buyer at a very specific time to unload Westbrook.

Teams that might take 1 year of Westbrook.

Rockets (for wall), OKC (can get another 1st), Uta (get out of the Gobert contract), NYK (get out of the Fournier and Randle contracts)

One of the best things about making the playoffs is that I don't have to be as bothered by the fact that we went for wins at the end of last season and missed out on Evan mobley. I would have been sick to my stomach otherwise, thank goodness he is in the eastern conference!

I love the audacity of the Cavs roster construction.

Evan Mobley and Garland have a bright future together

Trae Young just too good for the Cavs and Garland simply couldn't match him. Interesting game because both squads seem to lack a good secondary creator, so it kind of came down to Garland vs. Young.

Trae Young is leaving a path of destruction behind him in the most enjoyable way possible. The anti-Jimmy Butler.

And I was rooting for the Cavs too

I'm not sure I get that comparison so I would like to hear more. Also this is a great time to say that during the best years of Kevin Johnson's career he was a hell of a player that doesn't get talked about a whole lot.

Circling back around to this topic there are reports that the Lakers are considering waiving and stretching Westbrook and that the Hornets are interested. I have no clue why the Hornets would be interested.

If Westbrook agreed to a buyout I would guess there would be teams willing to pay a decent chunk of money to add him. Would the Knicks be interested in adding another older former all-star guard to their impressive collection? Also it seems like after some of Westbrook's recent comments he seems less likely to be sticking around with the Lakers.
