Wolves trade for Pat Beverly
Re: Wolves trade for Pat Beverly
Too bad Rosas couldn't keep it in his pants, he sure appears to have known what he was doing. It would be the Wolves way fir the next guy to fuck up all the positive momentum.

I know some like to joke about the good vibes or whatever but there was clearly something Rosas did besides his poop decision in terms of his relationship with a co-worker. It's going to be interesting to see what they do with the front office this summer. Whoever they hire is going to need to be a believer in Finch. Gupta already is. I wonder if they hire a longtime basketball guy to be a 2nd in command or high level consultant for Gupta and the organization.

If it meant the Wolves went to the Finals, build him a grotto at Mayo Clinic Square

Sure you can always stagger minutes to keep DLO or Ant in the game at all times as well. But between Bev and Bease IDK. Bev is a better player then Bease, simply because he is so much better on defense. So I think I have to start him.
I need some toughness and defense in my starting 5. Bease plays tough but is simply not at Bevs level when it comes to defensive skill.
Both Beverley and Beasley will likely be reserves next season. That backcourt duo off the bench will be very valuable and either or both of them could be in certain late game lineups. This was a trade to bolster the second unit. I hope we don't make it into more than what it is.
He was and is better then you thought. I was net neutral on DLO though and that is seemingly better then advertised as well. Rosas did a great job. Can we bring him back? lol

Hmm.. I was one of the first -- if not the first -- people here that suggested Minnesota should acquire Patrick Beverley after he was offloaded to Memphis. I also maintained that he would be very important to this team and that I would refrain from including him in any trades this year. I don't think Beverley is any better or worse than I imagined him to be. To reference the late Dennis Green, he is who I thought he was!
As for Beverley's eventual role, kudos to you for seeing him as a starter here. In my mind it came down to Jaden McDaniels or Beverley for that fifth starter spot and I prefer to play bigger, especially at the wing. McDaniels was pretty good as a starter through the second half of last year. I definitely thought he'd pick right back where he left off, especially with how he looked leading up to the season. Apparently, Chris Finch thought the same because McDaniels was originally part of the starting five. Obviously, McDaniels stumbled quite a bit and Beverley took the job and ran with it. The rest is history. Here we are preparing for a playoff series. You have to love it.
