Portland basically gave Norman Powell and Robert Covington away for Keon Johnson and a second-round pick. That's wild. Fantastic trade for the Clippers; not sure what the Blazers are doing. I don't imagine this will be their last deal before the deadline. This screams fire sale.

I get it, in the sense they are getting off long term money on Powell but seems like they could of gotten more future assets
Dammit. Effing Clippers.....I guess the silver lining is that this puts even more distance between the Wolves and the teams competing for that 10th play in spot.

Whew. You're thinking big, kek. It'd feel a little irresponsible to pay a guy $30-million to come off the bench, but anything is possible. Probably not the direction I would go!

Exactly. Just the fact they've managed to hold it together at 27-27 without those two makes me want to puke. Now they do this and put themselves in a great position for the playoffs if their two stars get healthy.

I read somewhere that it was improbable for Kawhi Leonard and Paul George to return this season, which means that this deal was made more with 2022-23 season in mind. They definitely got better this season too, but I think they targeted Norman Powell to be a weapon alongside their stars next year.
What a steal by the Clippers. Powell's quietly been averaging 18ppg on 46/41/80 splits. And we know what RoCo can do in the right situation. To get those two for Eric Bledsloe (soon to be out of the league), Justice Winslow (never lifed up to the hype), Keon Johnson (potential prospect) and a future 2nd is ridiculous.
