As evidence that a team can no longer be carried by an elite player and a bunch of role players, look no further than Nikola Jokic. He's actually improved from last season and is putting up advanced stats no one has ever seen before (PER of 33 and BPM of +14). I mean, he makes KAT look like a G-Leaguer - that's how big of a gap there is in terms of the two. Jordan and LeBron's career best years didn't even match those numbers.

Denver is three games over .500 and just barely hanging on to that 6th seed. We're right behind them! It's scary to think how good they'd be if Murray and Porter Jr. were healthy.

I'm keeping an eye on the Kings as I expect them to be sellers at the deadline. The rest of the league does too it seems like. They're 18-30 on the season while going 2-8 in their last 10 and losing three consecutive. It's only a matter of time before we see some names being dealt out of Sacramento.

Yes I would assume they will absolutely be sellers. I haven't been paying attention so maybe they have some injuries or whatever but I am surprised they are struggling like they are in terms of record. It just makes me appreciate the Wolves success so far even more. I actually think they are in a decent spot if they move the right players and make good use of the assets they receive back. Are they gonna finally move Bagley?

Virtually everybody is on the table... as has been obvious and much discussed for weeks.

The coach was already fired. Not much has changed with coach #2.
The GM is still relative young in his tenure... I think it's the 2nd year of a 4-year deal. And I think the Kings are still paying the former GM. Would they really want to pay 3 GMs?

So, the next step is player movement. Considering multiple players on that squad have publicly voiced their frustrations in recent season(s), there will definitely be moves made for this beleaguered franchise.

They just lost to the Celtics by 53 and only scored 75 points. Buddy was the only Kings player to score double digits with 11.

Lakers lost, Portland lost, San Antonio lost....and the Wolves won! Now 6.5 games up on the 11th seed in the West. And we're about to get healthy with the schedule easing up as well. We are in very good position now to finish the season at around .500 or better and make it to a play in game.

Closer to the fifth and sixth seeds than the 11th seed. That's a good place to be given the state of the franchise.

Perhaps more importantly, the Jazz beat the Nuggets tonight, which means that the Wolves are just 2.0 games behind them for the sixth seed.

It's right there, folks. This is why I think Minnesota's front office should be smart-yet-aggressive on the trade front. With a significant addition, or even just a marginal upgrade here or there, I think the Wolves are capable of grabbing a top-six seed and avoiding the play-in tournament altogether. From there anything can happen.

Yeah, given the easy schedule and hopefully guys getting back healthy soon, who is to say that the time to strike isn't now? Why not make a big push? That doesn't mean we blow up our core, but we should definitely be taking phone calls and talking.

Portland basically gave Norman Powell and Robert Covington away for Keon Johnson and a second-round pick. That's wild. Fantastic trade for the Clippers; not sure what the Blazers are doing. I don't imagine this will be their last deal before the deadline. This screams fire sale.
