Idk what a I would do but having Polonco looking like a guy that looks like he could be an all-star level player for years to come and locked in at a heck of a salary makes it worth considering. I'd guess Lewis is a guy that still has a ton of value if you wanted to move him for something.

Too soon to give up on Lewis . While the Twins are playing well they have a few guys that won't be back next year. The chances that they win the World Series is still small. They need to have young guys waiting in the wings to fill in the gaps.

Kimbrel signs with the Cubs. I can't really complain too much if that's where he signed. I can't help but think it was dumb for Kimbrel to play it out like this. I think he would have gotten this kind of money if he would have had a more reasonable expectation months ago. Maybe not. It will be interesting to see how things play out.

Lost in the people being upset about Astudillo being sent down is Adrianza has been terrific at the plate when he has played for quite a while now. It likely won't last but he has been doing well. I've had some faith in him being a good enough hitter as a utility guy for a while but he is breaking out. It seems like the Twins have been able to find utility guys and turn them into something pretty valuable. Nunez was the first one then Eduardo Escobar and will Adrianza be their next success story? Astudillo is a different sort of utility guy (or really player in general) but I'd bet on him coming back to the majors and hitting.

Monster I recommend you listen to the podcast Gleeman and the Geek I think you would enjoy it. They were talking about on last week episode how Asutidillo was swinging at 50% of the balls out of the strike zone and was dead last in that stat. In contrast Garver was swinging at like 12% of pitches out of the zone which was number 1 in all of baseball.

Good info. That makes sense and not surprising. Willians was barely hitting .200 what like the past month? Sending him down in some ways was a no brainer. Basically he and Adrianza switched places in terms of their value because of how they have hit. Like I said I believe in Astudillo's ability but he likely needs to regain some confidence and probably refine his approach from thinking he can just swing at whatever and live with the results. Who would have thought at this point he would be the worst hitting catcher of the 3 guys?!?

I'm still on anti Castro island over here, but hey he's number 1 pitch framing and has mike pizza level OPS this year. Fun fact after Marwin Double yesterday all 12 Twins regular players have a higher OPS then the league average. That is a crazy statistic.

I am on that island too, but can't complain. It is absolutely nuts how they are hitting. I keep waiting for the bottom to fall out on this team.

Tough loss to the Red Sox yesterday. Can we win the next 2 games?
