Verno from the Mismatch podcast (a Memphis guy) said he was afraid of us. Shaq and Chuck picked us to win the series. We might feel like we're playing with house money because we're the 7th seed (or maybe we're just telling ourselves that to soften the eventual disappointment), but this has all the makings of a close series. Just need to play well and we can definitely take this. Let's do it!

I'll tell you what, Morant had better develop some semblance of an outside shot because we kind of solved for him in the 2nd half. He got to the line a lot, but their offense was mostly stagnant that half.

Camden wrote:Job's not done, but love to get the first game, especially on the road. Minnesota nearly controlled this one from start to finish. All-around great effort. Huge bounce back for Karl-Anthony Towns and what a monster game from Anthony Edwards.

Hopefully, the officials allow a little more contact on Ja Morant throughout this series. The home-cooking was ridiculous in this one. I'm glad it didn't matter, but sheesh.

That one late call on Ant was horrible. He was moving his feet, not reaching and there was a small bump - it was nothing - yet they blew the whistle. Overall though he did a great job on Morant. Just super impressive that he can lead our team offensively and then go and check the other guy's best perimeter player......at 20!

I keep expecting to be let down but this team keeps exceeding expectations. This is all gravy baby! Even in the 4th I was how could we screw up this 11 point lead. lol

Yeah, that's the thing. It was always clear that he could be a lockdown defender if he really gave the effort. He's just way too quick, athletic, and strong not to be a good defender. But he only showed it in flashes last year, and this year, he absolutely played better defense for longer stretches, but you could tell he could do it for the whole game if he really locked in.

And he's done it now in a couple big games against guys ranging from PG, Powell, Morris, and then Brooks, Bane, and Ja. When he's locked in defensively, he can really be great. And it looks like now that the games are really mattering, that's helping push him up over the edge.

Man that was fun. Kudos to the Wolves for shoring up the rebounding problem that has plagued them against Memphis earlier in the year. Ant looks totally at home in the playoff atmosphere. Wolves will take this in 6.

Mind blown. Our expectations just keep on getting exceeded time and again. 60WinTim is smiling somewhere.

You're damn right!!! :-d

I bet the Wolves to win outright and I never felt so comfortable in making that decision.

Gotta keep the pressure on in Game 2 and take away their desire to fight back.

It's only 1 game but the Wolves took the Grizzlies out of their identity today. Grizzlies are an elite offensive rebounding team because of Adams but the thing is Adams can't guard KAT. Also it's so hard for them to put JJJ on Kat because he is up there with Kat in fouling.

It's just 1 game but the Wolves are such a bad matchup for the Grizzlies because the Wolves can counter on what the Grizzlies like to do
