Remember how Kevin Martin had this uncanny ability to live at the FT line? Ant needs to learn that aspect of the game. Instead of wanting to dunk, have that want to shoot 2 from the stripe.

This team has been bad this year with and without Rudy. Y'all seem like really cool people but the basketball knowledge from about 90% of you just sucks. You are a legitimate one trick troll. DLO was the only player tonight cutting off penetration from Brunson, and his hands were everywhere.

This loss was on a misinformed game plan and hot hands from the NYK. Our second team sucked (they've been good this year). Your act is tired and boring dloser. Seriously, criticize DLO when he sucks (which he has in several games) and then please add value at some point.

We miss Rudy and we can't make shots. It still doesn't look like this team has bought into the concept of winning. It seems it's far down on the priority list. It seems like Slomo and Jaden are the only two that care enough to put the effort into winning. And Jaden actually tries too hard and commits silly fouls.

Rudy wouldn't have done anything to stop those threes. The Knicks would be kicking our ass even if Rudy were playing.

I don't think Anderson and Jaden care more about winning than KAT. He's working his ass off tonight attacking the basket and rebounding. Taurean Prince looked like he cared when he was in te game. We definitely miss the energy, competitive zeal and toughness if Vando and Beverly.

Vando and Beverly aren't walking through the door so get over it. Like it or not, this is our team. KAT doesn't care enough to affect the game at the defensive end, never has.

I'm not expecting Vando or Beverley to walk in the door. But if we're evaluating what ails this team, we have to look at what we lost and understand the impact it's having on this team.

KAT's not a good defender. Neither is Jokic. But it's a huge stretch to conclude that KAT doesn't care. I wish we'd seen KAT's effort and productivity from the rest of the team tonight.

KAT is not this team's problem and Rudy Gobert is not its savior. Somehow KAT and his teammates last season seemed to care enough to win 46 games and take the second seed in the West to 6 games. So what's happened between last spring and now? Truth is, this was a much better team the end of last season than it is now. But it's the same Towns. He was productive and efficient last season and he's productive and efficient again this season, albeit with some early struggles after missing training camp with an illness and trying to adjust to a second big. The only difference we see from KAT is that his passing has improved. Nice to have someone on this team who has actually improved an aspect of his game. You can't say that about any other member of this roster. Far from improving, Edwards has regressed. So it's not the same Edwards it was the second half of last season. I like Jaden as much as you, but he hasn't progressed. He continues his terrible rebounding for someone with his size and athleticism. Some have suggested he doesn't give enough effort or doesn't care enough. I disagree. I think he's just a poor rebounder. And of course, there's no Vando, Beverley or Beasley.

Gobert will return. He'll get his rebounds while the team consistently gets out rebounded as it was in nearly every game so far this season. He'll alter and deter some shots in the paint and get one or two blocks a game. But this team sucked before tonight with Rudy playing and they'll suck when he returns -- unless the players other than KAT and Rudy dramatically improve their play. Or unless there are some changes in this team's personnel. No, I'm not talking about Beverley of Vando making a triumphant return to the team. But the things they brought to this team are sorely lacking now and contributing to this team's terrible play over 11 games. And at some point, there will have to be a reckoning with Edwards. I don't know if it's still the extra 10 pounds he brought to camp or something deeper like perhaps him not really being committed to the game - one of the doubts many had about him coming out of college.

The next 11 games could easily make us forget about these first 11 this season. But if we're honest with ourselves, we'll acknowledge that we haven't seen anything yet to indicate that we'll see the sort of substantial improvement we need to see if we're going to at least make the playoffs. Time will tell.

I'd love to see KAT do more work down in the low post. He can abuse people down low and we don't take advantage of it.

I agree with you on this Cool. It was one of the things Thibs did right when he was here. He had KAT posting up. KAT is one of the best post-up bigs in the NBA today. We probably can't post him up when he's in the game with Gobert. But when Gobert is out, it would make a lot of sense to post him up more.
