It's not a saying but I'm over how many times they reference Jimmy Graham's basketball background when he catches a TD. Literally just a decade straight of Chris Collinsworth bringing that up even when Jimmy hasn't been relevant for several years now. Same for Thielen's journey to the NFL. They still use story lines on these veteran guys like they are rookies just getting into the league.

As a Chargers fan I can't tell you how many times I've had to hear broadcasts and other fans talk about Antonio Gates' basketball history. It's the same for Jimmy Graham, as you noted. Those stories are so well-known that it doesn't need to be said again, you know? Definitely a good one to mention here.

"They just refuse to quit"

Yeah, let's just quit. Who would ever do this?

"He didn't get out of bounds to stop the clock" when there's over 5 minutes left in the 2nd half. I can't tell you how many broadcasters (some of whom are former players) who criticize players for not getting out of bounds when they're trailing in the 4th quarter and over 5 minutes left. The clock does not stop for out of bounds unless there's <5 minutes left, so it doesn't matter whether they get out of bounds before then, it won't stop the clock.

In baseball, fast white guys "run well". Whereas fast black guys have great speed.

There was an era of time when the Packers and the Vikings had a slew of legit starters on their rosters. Meanwhile the Bears...

RG3 is in line to make a start this week. Who would have thought he would last longer in the league than Andrew Luck.
