I think much of the criticism on DLO is legit and yes there is plenty of blame to go around tonight for the lackluster effort. You have been hyping up DLO to an absurd level and he didn't stand out in any way. I think you praised his shooting, yet he shoots below 40% for game. Some poor passing and we all know that he doesn't defend well. Not what you want to see out of a max player.
To an absurd level? I've said D-Lo's an All-Star, a good secondary scorer, a very good shooter, and he takes care of the ball. I've already acknowledged that he's a weak defender. All of that is true whether you choose to suck it up and admit it or not. I typically support my stances with numbers and/or anecdotal evidence. You routinely respond to me with emotion and finger-pointing. Excuse me if I just completely dismiss your posts in the future.
You point out DLO is (which is incorrect, its "was") an All-Star in hundreds of posts and most of the time you just refer to him as an All-Star as if that automatically means he is a great or very good player. You never mention that DLO was an injury fill in all-star in Eastern Conference during a year where several teams tanked for the Zion sweepstakes and he was selected by Adam Silver alone. You never mention that he has a career plus minus that is even worse than Wiggins.
It always cracks me up when people call Russell an all star. Yeah right, he's that all star who's currently in his prime, but might actually have negative trade value with that contract.
Without examining individual players, it is damn depressing to see Memphis get open shot after open shot off of great ball movement, and the Wolves fire up contested shots with very little ball movement. If they can't get that figured out, this will be a very long season indeed.
I'll give some positives for the night. Edwards was better than the first game. Like that they are giving him big minutes. I'm going to enjoy following McDaniels. His length and athleticism are really something to work with. I hope he gets the attention necessary to develop. Enjoyed watching him guard Bane out on top and just missed getting the block. RHJ played really hard and helped himself tonight. Looks like we really need his defensive game. That's about all I can come up with unfortunately.

Beasley hasn't played well, but i like his attack mentality and energy. The guys I like the most are Nowell and Culver. Tonight, I'm also liking Edwards and RHJ.
- Morant was by far the best player in both these games. I'll cut KAT some slack, but he and DLO were vastly outplayed by Morant and JV. As long as those two get outplayed, we have zero chance of winning most games.
- I agree with Cool and others....Edwards at least seemed to be in more of an attack mode. He still missed a bunch of shots and turned it over, but it was refreshing seeing him trying to take it to the hoop.
- Culver looked good, not great. Not convinced on his outside shot yet.
- KAT + DLO + Beasley + Rubio had 14 turnovers while each playing fairly limited minutes. Just sloppy play after sloppy play by four of our better players.
- Nowell looks like all business to me. I love his poise and how he engages on both ends of the floor. I think he ultimately finds a spot in the rotation at some point this season.
- What might be most depressing is that Memphis is playing without two of its better players!

What did you hate about Juancho's game tonight?
I think jaunchos a good G league player. I thought that last year too. He shot lights out for 14 games last year and tricked the worst gm in the league into paying him. Seems like a good guy though.
