But in all honesty I hadn't heard about the mental problems a lot of you are talking about. I hope it's not a lack of intelligence because it is such an underrated trait. I hope it's more about immaturity, at least you have a chance to mature.
If one was to grow the perfect modern physical specimen player in a lab, it would be McDaniels. They just forgot to include the brain.
Lol. Nice one, Future. That's the post of the day!
Lip, I hope this isn't the re-incarnation of Anthony Randolph!
Is there a bylaw in the timberwolves articles of inc that says we can only draft dumb unmotivated players?
Lol. Further proof that Rosas is the second coming of David Kahn. :)
Personally I can probably live with a swing like him at #28 but I get if other people aren't keen on it. I'll dig in a little more about him in the future. I'm sort of intrigued by his raw talent and skills...at least offensively.
I can't speak for anyone else, but for me it's more about the talent that Rosas and team left on the table to trade up for Bolmaro and take McDaniels. Not really worried about their draft slots. Much, much better players up for grabs at both spots.
That's my take, too. Ideally we would have stayed at #17 and drafted Saddiq Bey. The fact that he was available at that point was manna from heaven as David Kahn once said about Darko. But even after the Rubio deal, there were much better alternatives available at the #25 and 28 spots. Here are some of them in my order of preference:
1. Tyrell Terry (available at #25 or 28)
2. Desmond Bane (available at 25 or 28)
3. Payton Pritchard (available at 25)
4. Judoka Azubuike (available at 25)
5. Tyler Bey (available at 25 or 28)
6. Daniel Oturu
7. Xavier Tillman
8. Robert Woodard
9. Tre Jones
Having drafted Edwards and traded for Ricky, I probably wouldn't have drafted Pritchard or Jones, although I would have still drafted Terry because I think he's going to be a great NBA player. But there were some really good front-court prospects like Bane, Tyler Bey, Azubuike, etc. who have the potential to be really sold rotational players, help defensively and contribute right away. McDaniels bust potential is as off the charts. And I just don't think Bolmaro is as good as guys I listed. He certainly wasn't worth trading up for.
