Ade Murkey was released. What was your favorite Ade moment? That put back slam that almost went in?
I guess we will have to wait to see what this means. My math says we have one too many players, right?
[Edit: Actually, three too many players: Brown, Cook and Cheatham. ]

None of these guys will amount to much of anything and are just camp bodies. They'll be gone soon.

The Zylan one seems peculiar because there are no preseason games left. It just seems odd to bring in an extra camp body at this point. I suppose it could be a pre-cursor to signing onto our G-league team...

Agreed. There's still about a week before the regular season opener, though. I'd assume they're just getting another look at a guy. No harm in that, but ultimately won't matter.

If I remember correctly you can have 4 affiliate players so that's what all these guys are gonna be. Teams sign and waive guys like this all the time players get a little guaranteed money before they are waived and then assigned to whatever G-league team.
Now let's talk about Cheatham the player a little. He was a Pelicans 2-way later last year and played well in the G-league especially averaging 12 rebounds a game. He was in the Adams trade and I believe his 2-way contract was converted to an NBA deal to facilitate the trade. OKC waived him. If you need sole dunks in your life here is a video of some of them from the G-league last year. I'd say he is pretty athletic. He seems to have some nice skills and should be a nice addition to the Iowa roster.

Timberwolves waive guard Charlie Brown Jr. and forwards Zylan Cheatham, Tyler Cook and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

Hmm.. You must be right monster, the signing/waiving of Zylan must be a formality to be done before proceeding with something else, I assume a G-league assignment.
