Wolves/Hawks GDT

Post by longstrangetrip [enjin:6600564] »

The Wolves have had extraordinary luck playing teams missing key players this year, beginning with their initial win of the season against the Memphis JV team. This would have been great news if we were having the season we thought we were going to have, but all it means in this disastrous season is fewer ping pong balls...if we were playing teams at full strength, we would certainly be in the lottery lead.

But will their good luck continue tonight? Last week with Howard out, the Wolves exploited their physical advantage by completely dominating the boards and winning in Atlanta. But it would be a different story if Howard plays tonight. Atlanta is saying he is a game time decision with a stiff back, but Vegas must think he's playing because they have the Hawks favored by 2 on our court.

Maybe it's time for Thibs to remember that his best defensive big has been sitting on his bench while big men have been beating us up. Free Cole!

Aldrich hasn't been slowing down opposing bigs either. I liked that Hill got some run. I think he played some decent minutes.

I read a tweet today that both Howard and Hardaway were expected to play.

Yeah, I liked seeing Hill get some run too...did a pretty nice job on the boards and showed some good energy. But I've always seen him as more proficient as a defender at the 4 than the 5...he was as ineffective as G and KAT last night in slowing down the Thunder's 2 bigs. Cole has the size to bang with the big boys.

I turned the game on, but honestly I'm pretty blah on watching. Outside of Lavine there is really nothing much to be excited about. On the bright side 24 hours until the Wild go for their 11th win in a row!

I hate Peterson pimping up Bazz, especially in a game where Bazz is running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Just said he's "too good a player to just get 17 minutes a game." Just ridiculous.
