Most of the time you have to draft them or give up something pretty significant to get them espcially if they are not past 30 and relatively durable.

That is why I said I would trade for Biyombo if he can be had cheap.I think he fits better then Dieng.

The fit between Dieng and Biyombo depends somewhat on the shooting capablities of whoever is playing PG for this team.

Honestly so don't think Biyombo is going to come cheap. He is locked in for a few years at what is going to be market value for what he brings and at some point probably a bit of a bargain. Plus the guys is only 24.

This team should be looking for the next Biyombo or undrafted international player or get a guy in the 2nd round or whatever. It's possible to find those guys some of which didn't figure it out right away. Gobert and Deandre Jordon are probably the premier paint protectors in the league and neither guy was a lottery pick.

I haven't seen the last 2 games but when I saw this thread so thought it was going to be about a rugged big athletic wing defender. That sure would help a lot. Those guys seem realistic to find without having a top draft pick or whatever. I keep saying this franchise needs to find and develop some legit players from outside of the lottery pick range if it wants to be a legit contending team.

The OP continues to push for a player who quit the game of basketball and hasn't played professionally for multiple years.

Others suggested trades for bigs that are known to be available and productive.

You have an issue with that?

What? The OP just brought up an old issue of bad interior defense. I don't care about the crazy Larry joke. You suggested players who won't solve the team's problem. So yeah, I got an issue with that.

If Wolves are really serious about improving interior defense they should look at player like Gobert, Jordan, Adams not scrubs like WCS or joke defenders like Monroe or Okafor.

Though the 3 players I mentioned are very hard to obtain. There are other options. My favorite one would be Derrick Favors. Bogut is also available but has his flaws. Also Whiteside and Chandler and the last resort in Noah.

Whiteside is not a solution for defensive issues. He currently has 3rd worst defensive rating of his team and Miami hasn't ever been better in defense with Whiteside than without him so. Which means that his defensive on/off numbers have been always negative.

Favors has been injury prone lately but if he could be had cheaply (swapping just Dieng for him), he might be worth to try.

John Henson on the block. I'll help pack Bazz's bags if that is what it takes.

Miami Heat Possible Landing Spot For John Henson
Milwaukee Bucks center John Henson has been mentioned in numerous trade rumors over the past several days. According to Bleacher Report, the Heat are one of the possible trade destinations of the four-year veteran.
In their proposed trade scenario, the Heat will acquire Henson alone from the Bucks. In return, Milwaukee will secure the services of Josh McRoberts, Dion Waiters and Derrick Williams.
Henson was viewed as a major part of their rotation until Jason Kidd took over in Milwaukee. According to the report, it is quite clear that Henson will not get a major role under Kidd, which will likely be the reason why he will be dealt before the annual NBA trade deadline in February.
"This 25-year-old is still brimming over with two-way potential," Bleacher report noted. "Even if he's a one-way contributor, his interior defense is so strong that he could justify a major role. But it's beyond clear, Milwaukee won't give him that chance."
The proposed deal makes sense for both squads, as the Bucks need more bodies to improve their roster depth. Waiters will likely get a fair share of minutes in Milwaukee, while McRoberts and Williams could also provide additional boost off the bench.
On the other hand, the Heat will also benefit from the trade. While the Henson is averaging just 3.4 points and 5.3 rebounds this season, he has proven that he could make an impact, particularly on defense, if given enough playing time. Pairing Henson with Hassan Whiteside will significantly improve their rim protection moving forward.

Maybe we could trade Payne, Hill, and Rush for him.

That's an old article and not really a great source either. Can't see the Bucks moving Henson any time soon. That would also go against Pat Riley saying that the Heat would rebuild, which hinted at moving his players for youth and draft picks.
