As of today KAT is now shooting below the league average from 3. He has also moved into 2nd on the team in 3 point attempts. I am failing to see the gains we are making here with our "stretch" 5. Everything needs to be drawn up in the low post from here on out.

Let's first clarify that KAT is playing PF nearly full-time this year. Gorgui almost always guards opposing team's 5's and they in turn almost always guard Gorgui.

As a PF, I don't necessarily find the volume of 3's he's taking as inappropriate when looked at in a vacuum. But I think your larger point is that he actually has a pretty damn good low post and mid-range game. I do agree he should go to work more in the low box and get more elbow touches, ala Kevin Love back in the day we ran the corner offense with him.

It don't necessarily mind the volume as much as just some of them seem to be bad ill timed attempts. Especially in the 4th, Doris Burke commented on a couple of the 4th quarter attempts last night. They are almost always wide open 3's because the defense gives them to him. Recently it seems he's not even hitting the rim, just banging off the backboard. And would he stop giving that pump fake and jab step when the defender is 7 feet off him. It's like he drank 7 Red Bulls before the game.

I've also noticed that his misses are downright embarrassing at times recently...way off the mark. I noticed earlier in the year that his footwork around the basket was much improved and close to Okafor level, but we haven't seen as much of that in recent games. I think KAT could be an incredible scoring force if he focused more of his attention within 5 feet of the basket.

Does anybody else like a starting front line of Okafor, Dieng, KAT?

I like Okafor and KAT starting with G and Aldrich anchoring the 2nd unit.

OMG, keep Okafor as far away from this club as possible. He's another defensive disaster and inefficient volume scorer. Yuck.

I'd move Zach the one, Wig to the 2, and KAT to the 3. Keep G in the starting lineup.

Assuming of course that the price for Okafor is Ricky.

I'd prefer not to have Towns play SF. I think that combined with his willingness already to be a perimeter player would be a poor combination and we'd get a less affective, less efficient version of him.

I also prefer Dieng as our first big off the bench. I honestly think he'd be the best bench big in the NBA and that's not a bad thing at all. We could definitely use an advantage like that. He'd also get more opportunities offensively, which might not be a bad thing either.

I struggle to like the fit of Okafor here, but he's skilled enough that I wouldn't absolutely hate it either. He just doesn't help our defensive issues at all and he's yet another young player who doesn't know how to win at the NBA level. Add in the possibility of him wanting to establish himself as a star in this league and we probably have too many chefs in the kitchen, if you know what I mean.
