I am starting to wonder if we hired the guys that were at the right place at the right time or the guys that actually knew how to deliver and had the insight behind the metrics.

As it was pointed out on Twitter somewhere in someranbit hole I went down...part of that is hiring people throughout the organization that could communicate those things to players. That could be why they moved on from Molitor. It's jusy a theory but it makes some sense. Maybe he was great with a lot of players and embraced the new way of thinking but maybe he wasn't good at communicating it to players. That's understandable. It's one thing to embrace something and maybe understand it for your self. it's another thing to be able to teach and explain that thing to others so they understand it and implement it themselves. It seems to me Falvey and Lavine are still pretty well regarded around the league. Keep in mind many people thought they got good value at thebtrafe deadline and that was before we found our Dozier May have been battling a knee injury most of the season.

Interesting pickup for the Twins yesterday getting Michael Reed after being waived by the Braves. He's only 25, and hit .342 and slugged .520 in AA and AAA last year. Sounds promising.

Interesting for sure. Bad news if he makes the club though.

Rays claimed Oliver Drake on Waivers. Why did we get rid of that guy? It seemed like they finally found something in cycling all these guys through.

This is why this off-season is so important. The Indians are year or so off from being rebuilders again. There built just like the Royals were and now look at where they are now.

I agree with what you are saying.

I know they are in the division and all that but it's kinda lame and sad in a way that they might have to trade some of those guys. Plus a terrific player like Lindor it just feels like he should be on a good team.

Might've had the wrong 30 year old first basemen. I would be very please with Goldschmidt.

Hayes of the Athletic said the price was pretty high.
