I sorta dig Jerami Grant, too. I just checked his stats...
3.6 reb per game.
5.0 per 36 min.
The eye test suggests that he'd be a great fit as that marauding, athletic 4 who could be disruptive defensively while not being a total clanker from outside the arc. Yet his advanced defensive metrics aren't all that impressive. Paul Milsap is the glue that holds that defense together in Denver. Grant has not been nearly as effective.
Everyone can keep talking about needing a second big next to KAT so he can slide over to the 4, but Rosas and Saunders just aren't going to do it. It's going to have to be a mobile 4 that can keep a defense honest from the outside while being able to switch on defense. Cam is thinking along those lines with Jerarami Grant, although I don't think he's actually all that good on defense. But it's a player in that mold - rangy, athletic, solid catch-and-shoot type.

There's like 5 guys in the entire league who fit that description and add good defense with it as well. Good luck getting that guy.

1. Jonathan Isaac
2. Brandon Clarke
3. Jayden Daniels
I keep seeing Brandon Clarke's name come up and I don't understand why Memphis would even considering trading him. He's a solid player on a rookie deal who fits their up and coming roster.
