Now we hear about these sorts of crazy height/weight changes by young players every offseason and I don't know how much of it is exaggerated, but even without additional growth by Jaden, we are going to have a really tall front line.
Wow. I don't know why KAT would go there if it weren't true. I'm excited to see Jaden play next season.
We won't need that 7'3" #1 pick next year we already have him in Jaden...well I mean it will be a couple more years till he grows that last couple inches but he has been consistently growing so no reason why he would stop right?
NBA puts up legit height weight numbers so we should get an idea and we can see him next to Towns. They looked close to equal last year. Jaden being taller than Towns would be insane.
Also legit question would it be reasonable to think his wingspan would have increased? I have no idea how this works. I stopped growing early in HS...well in terms of height. Lol
Not sure Monster, but even if Jaden's wingspan is the same, certainly being taller helps give guys better sight lines when they rise up to shoot. Otherwise yeah, wingspan is probably the more important attribute defensively.
I just watched some video of him playing in the MN pro am. Idk if he is taller or not but it's comical how much taller he is than the guys guarding him out on the perimeter are.
I know standing reach and wingspan are what people care about but like you mentioned height is good to have in terms of vision and I also think playing against a guy that is taller just seems like mentally you are going up against someone bigger and nobody is blocking a shot with their head but having to look over a guy that's taller whether shooting or passing would matter at least a little bit.
Speaking of the pro am, Nathan Knight destroyed Oturu for 44 pts. Obviously just a pro am but Knight ate a borderline nba guys lunch in oturu
