Tournament, I follow Twitter poker clubs, where they play them in pokerstars home games. A 25$ one starts in 5 minutes (really soft field) and i was playing in a free home game from RecPoker they get 50-70 people a night. Legit competition for free games
*I can give you the people I follow if you want. I miss live poker so much
There's too much at stake this summer not to tank at this point.
I smell a sprained right ankle or sore left calf upcoming for Karl-Anthony Towns a couple weeks after the All-Star break.
I agree. I think its pretty clear theyve been tanking for most of this year. Its their final shot at a draft pick, even if the odds arent great. There was no way they were making a profit anyway, and we all know how accepting Taylor is about losing. I just cant stand this for KAT. His rep is completely in the toilet, hes been through personal hell, and theres not a clear direction moving forward. This is really the first time Ive reached a point where I wouldnt be disappointed if our star asked for a trade. Taylor doesnt deserve any real talent.
I haven't watched tonight. Haven't watched most of the games this year. I saw the notifications tonight and... stop doing this to yourselves. As I said countless times, this team ain't worth your time. You're in the sports equivalent of an abusive relationship and it's not healthy.
I hope the bump in pay was worth it for Finch because he willingly ran to this situation and for what? Vanterpool must be telling those close to him "no, really. I'm glad they didn't give me the interim tag."
The Wolves haven't been tanking - as in deliberately trying to lose. The Wolves are just a really bad team that's been made worse by injuries or illness experienced by their two key players. As a result the Wolves currently have the worst record in the NBA.
The question is whether the Wolves should now deliberately tank to make sure they maximize their lottery chances by finishing in the bottom three, which would give them a 40% chance of landing a top three pick. My first thought is that it's not necessary. I can't see how this team can possibly climb out of the bottom three no matter how hard they try. KAT needs to keep working on his game and we need to see what he and DLO can do together when DLO returns from his surgery. The younger players need to keep getting actual game experience if only to give our next PBO a better idea of their potential. If this team somehow climbs out of the bottom three, however unlikely, then so be it. At least we'll have our first-round pick in 2022, a pick we'll lose if we keep our 2021 pick.
Whether we have our first-round pick this year or in 2022, nothing will chance until we replace Rosas with a competent PBO. And that might not happen unless and until Taylor sells to a competent owner.
I think this team's top priority now should be trading into the 2021 first round without giving up KAT, Beasley, Edwards or a future 1st rounder. I'm not sure that's possible. In fact, it's clearly a long shot. But that should bear a priority.

Long shot, eh? I cannot imagine any team other than the Wolves giving up a 1st round pick for what is left over.
