It seems clear that Ryan won't go until Rosas goes and I think we're a long way from moving on from Rosas. And who knows who Glen would hire to replace Rosas. This team's personnel is better than the team's record. So yes, coaching matters. And we saw again tonight that the Wolves head coach is in way over his head.
Rubio is the worst PG in the league. Just saying. Hard to win when the offense is atrocious because of one player.
No reason to commit to rubio ending games when he is your backup pg! I get letting dlo end games since he is you max guy and starter. But rubio over jmac?? Worse, letting rubio handle the ball and run pick and rolls at the end when the defense is coached to dare rubio to shoot or drive while not letting anyone else get open. At least let ant run the pick an roll and park rubio at the corner! Fuck.
I should be used to it by now. I've felt like the obvious draft pick (not hindsight) has always been someone the wolves pass on. Not shockingly the player me and many other people thought they should pick turns out to be a star. So this should surprise me, but stop and think for a minute. It is seriously so obvious what the coach needs to do with rotations. Literally everyone almost on this board is saying it. Despite all the ineptitude in the wolves organization over the years, I still find myself wondering what in the hell is going through Saunders head
Rubio led the way in terms of choking away the win, but let's not forget KAT missed a wide open 3 and turned it over on a moving screen and Beasley was getting his 3's blocked trying to force a shot up. It's a collective failure, starting with Ryan and his point guard and then infecting everyone else.
His job is putting his players in best position to succeed. He continually doesn't do this at end of games. So yes it's on Ricky for playing bad but also he was put into that position by his coach.
I concede that Rubio has sucked real bad this season and you do have to give partial blame to Ryan. If he had any balls he would sit Rubio and play JoMac down the stretch. JoMac is serviceable as a backup. Rubio isn't.
Maybe they are trying to raise Rubio's trade value since it can't get any lower.
.......and we continue to fight and be in every game, only to choke it away at the end. 12 games in a row now where the final score is within 8 points. We've won 3 of them.
Not all the blame should go on Ryan though. Yes he's an idiot for bringing back Rubio who's a momentum killer, and the guy has no feel for the game and substitutions but it would be nice if the players could make a shot when the game is on the line.
Anyways at least we have Ant dunk to watch on rewind.

True story. The entire offense failed down the stretch, but Ricky turned it over twice in the last 4 minutes then had zero assists to boot since they defense never collapses on him.
