I agree with your post. It was something I noticed as well.

Take the last minute play of this game and don't show any baskets made by either team. Then try and decide by the demeanor of the players of each team on the floor who was leading in the game, By the smiles on the T-Wolves players, you might deduce that the Wolves were leading.

I think your post sums up this entire season.

Well at least we are competitive in every game.

Who cares we are losing. This is not a dlo defensive post. This is for how talented Kat is how does he end up contributing to winning. After Kat missed a ton of time a lot of posts are look how valuable Kat is. I mean Kat is back and the Wolves have a worse winning % when he plays this year without Dlo then Dlo has without Kat.

Wolves are 3-8 with Kat this year (.273)
Wolves are 5-14 in games Dlo plays more then 6 minutes (.263)

Think serious questions have to be asked about Ryan, Rosas and Kat. Wolves suck but they shouldn't be the worst team in the NBA.

The #Timberwolves fired their last head coach after a 22-point victory.

The #Timberwolves current head coach has now lost 24 games THIS SEASON, 11 of which were by 10 or more points.

Minnesota has played just 31 games.

Rosas wanted to build a contender around KAT's window. And that window will be when KAT is looking out of his retirement home, marvelling at the play of the Seattle Super Sockeye.

I've been saying we should trade KAT. I said it last year and I've said it this year. We aren't winning games with him and tonight was a perfect opportunity for him to will us to a win. He's a very good player but in my opinion he has more value as a trade piece.

I don't think trading Karl-Anthony Towns is a good idea for this franchise any time soon nor do I think it'll happen, but there are a handful of teams that could offer a good/great deal tomorrow that would make me mull it over. Those teams are the Boston Celtics, Phoenix Suns, and Atlanta Hawks -- in that order.

I wouldn't sign off on any Towns trade with this front office in place, though. I don't trust them to get back the absolute best value that they could.

- Thought the Wolves came out with a lack of energy and got outworked in the first half. Fortunately, the Knicks are so bad offensively that it wasn't hard to get back in it once we started making some shots.

- KAT was actually a beast on both sides for a good portion of the 4th - much different than his lackluster start to the game. I also thought the offense tried to go through him a lot more in the 4th. This team is just destined not to win close games though. 13 straight games now within 8 points, with almost all but one or two that I'd call 50/50 games with just a few minutes left. We're 3-10 in them.

- Still....as painful as it is, I'd rather be close and losing than getting blown out every other night like we were earlier in the season. It still sucks, but at least the team is competitive.

- Vando and Nowell really starting to fall off. Whatever shine they had is quickly wearing off.

- We're back to our comfort zone where our Pythagorean or "expected" win total is a couple games more than our actual win total. Ahhhh.....normalcy.
