Ha, can't deny it would be entertaining at least.

The chasm between my admiration of KG as a player and my hatred for him as a person is wider than the Grand Canyon.

Meh. He's a mixed bag.

Not my favorite, even on the court, where I dug him more than off the court. But he's certainly not the worst either.

But yesterday's bitter Instagram post is just so cringeworthy... there's no world where I'd want that guy as the public face of a $1.5B business... OTHER than the team would probably be much more likely to stay.

I'll admit that I'm legit worried about relocation. Again.

FNG wrote:Yeah I agree with Lip that Glen really wants to win. If you had a billion dollars, would you stay in Minnesota all winter and drive 3 hours roundtrip to watch every Timberwolves game? Not me. I'd be jetting off to exotic warm locations, only coming back occasionally to check in on my team. Not Glen though...he's in his seat for every home game. He wants to win and oddly has been quite successful with the Lynx, but to Lip's points, his series of bad decisions has been the second biggest factor in this franchise's horrible history (bad lottery luck being #1). Glen is not dumb, not by any stretch of the imagination...you don't become a self-made billionaire by being dumb. And he is one of the most respected and powerful NBA owners (how do you think he finagled Beasley's 12-game suspension, which conveniently got him out of the lux tax?). But almost every decision he has made as a Wolves owner has been disastrous.

I will say this though. The only guy who makes Glen look good is Kevin Garnett. His incomprehensible thug-like diatribe on IG yesterday was really sad. The knucklehead has never had the personal financial means (since he blew almost $100 million in dumb investments) or connections to be a real player in a Wolves' purchase (think about it...if you were a bank, would you loan any money to this nitwit gangster?), and Glen loves Minnesota too much to ever consider allowing a loose cannon like KG involved with this franchise. Glen may be the worst owner in the NBA, but the chaos that KG would bring would be the only thing that could actually make this franchise even more hapless. KG, please shut up...and go away. And perhaps learn the English language. Who can even understand most of the crap he posted yesterday?

Awesome post. You captured the true essence of KG. Wish you had been around when I was alone in calling out KG the bully and coward. Not someone I want connected with the franchise.

The player yes, the person no. Wouldn't want him representing my team in any other capacity.

I hope his number never gets retired, although it will after Taylor sells the team.

That doesn't send a good message to literally every other player in the league as well as players entering the league in the future. Nobody wants to play for the Wolves anyways, but that definitely doesn't make it any better. The clear-cut best player in a franchise's history -- by a lot -- should get his number retired. That's how it should be. The fact that his number isn't already retired is an embarrassment.
