It's destiny

Yep. Assuming we finish in the bottom three, we'll have a 40% chance of landing one of the top 3 picks. That means a 60% chance we end up losing our first-round pick. So the percentages certainly don't favor the Wolves in this year's draft. We've already lost our 2nd round pick. Meanwhile, DLO sits and the team continues to lose just as it did when he was playing.

I didn't like the shot. Why not drive hard into the paint and at least try to get a foul or kick out. We were tied, not down by 3.

You need to run the clock out though. It was the smart play.

You seem to be more worried about the clock than scoring a bucket to take the lead. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Every single NBA coach does the same thing, you win or go to OT. Not drive get fouled with 3 seconds left hit a couple then lose on a last second 3.

Good teams draw up action for their best players, take the lead, and then defend the final possession if there is one. My goodness.

Absolutely right, Cam. Get KAT going to the bucket for two. If he doesn't score he'll likely draw a foul and get to the line where he's money. Edwards almost made that shot, but KAT should have been the guy taking the last shot.

27-54 is the record the Wolves have in games Ryan Saunders has coached Kat a .329 win %. How many more excuses does Ryan get.

The Wolves are 1-4 since kat returned from covid. They are 1-6 in games in games since Kat returned from his wrist injury. The last 2 seasons the Wolves are the Wolves are 13-31 in games has played.

Ryan needs to be fired. Kat isn't getting moved now so Ryan needs to be the scapegoat

The last 11 games we've played in have all been decided by 8 points or less and five of those were 4 points or less. We're competitive and getting deep into games against pretty much everyone we play. It's frustrating to see all of the late game misses and mistakes that lead to so much losing.

Sure you can fire him but nothing will change until the players get better.

That last play in regulation Ryan said was designed to hopefully go downhill to the rim with little time left between the Ant and KAT after the switch off the pick. Ant chose to shoot a 3 which wasn't the worst thing. I guess knowing the Pacers didn't have a TO left he should have driven to the hoop with 3-4 seconds left or so. Maybe he gets fouled, maybe he finds KAT for a good look. Maybe he makes it. Maybe they get a tip in to win also.

So I think Ryan was spot on with the action. Ant took a good shot for the win and it didn't work. I forgot they didn't have TO's left and couldn't advance for themselves.

So excellent play design by Ryan. The players lost.

The Wolves should trade Karl-Anthony Towns if they're not going to give him the ball in crucial spots. Why's he still here? Send him elsewhere so a team can actually utilize him to the fullest. Minnesota apparently doesn't need him.

The Wolves have had many head coaches since KG left and we haven't had a good team yet. Even with KG we were mostly suspect minus the one great run with Sam and Spree. 2004 was the last good Wolves team.

You can blame Ryan but this all falls on Thibs and Rosas with a side of Covid as well. Who knows how good the Wolves would be if they didn't have Ricky and KAT fall down with that.

The losing is frustrating, but there's a silver lining in how consistently competitive this team has been in these last 11 games. It's also good to see Rubio getting his game back and KAT starting to get his wind and rhythm back. Beasley remains impressive on the offensive end. JMac hasn't disappointed and Naz has been good most of the time. McDaniels has been a pleasant surprise and Ant is an exciting prospect.

If the players can remain mentally resilient, they'll start to win more games as the season progresses. But obviously, this team will not finish in the top 10, which means they'll be in the lottery. Hopefully, we'll have lottery luck again this year. But we can't control that. More important is the continued development of Ant, McDaniels, Vando and Naz Reid as well as KAT's health.

Should a coach never be fired then? Only GMs

I would wait and see how this season plays out. I'm seeing nice growth from the really young guys so I'm happy enough with that to see how it plays out. What if the Wolves find a nice groove, it's a long season ahead still.
