Interest in Ibaka?

Post by SameOldNudityDrew »

Rumor has it the Thunder are shopping him. Any ideas what it would take?

The #5 might have been close to enough... especially if he acted as disinterested in the playoffs as he did most of the season and the Thunder flamed out.

Give them 5 and Dieng for Ibaka and Cameron Payne.

It's a steep price, but Dieng and Bazz isn't enough to get him and 5 alone won't get him because they are still in win now mode to keep Durant. 5 gives them the option to let Dieng walk if he gets too big an offer which they are worried about with Ibaka in the first place.

#5 for Ibaka is ideal. #5 and Bazz for Ibaka and PG/Wing filler is the most i would offer.

The problem with Ibaka is could be just a one year rental, right?

I wouldn't want to give up Dieng.

If we did get Payne, we'll address a need for dancing on the team.

Yeah, that's a big question mark for me. Maybe a sign and trade?

I feel like I'd still almost rather get Deng as a free agent, then we wouldn't have to give up the 5th.

No Dieng means no Ibaka. They aren't trading Ibaka without getting an established player back to help them with their run and Dieng is the only established player we have that would fit a hole on that team in the trade.

Yes, but i love his play next to KAT. #5 is a crapshoot and Bazz is probably a one season rental as well.

Wolves have been in contact with the Sixers apparently a lot today, according to Woj. I gotta think Thibs wants Noel. I'd much rather go after him than Ibaka.
