I wish we were like the Spurs and we could just write in some random dude nobody had heard of before as a legit contributor next year that also was signed for basically peanuts.

With all due respect, SP, you're not understanding that once we give these second contracts to Dieng and the rest of the young guys, the wiggle room cap-wise to sign free agents that could significantly help this team will no longer be there like it is now. We'll be able to re-sign every single player we have regardless of what we do in free agency because of Bird Rights, which states that we can go above the cap to re-sign our own players. The question then will be about paying luxury tax, but that's even if it gets to that point. I'd love to have that problem, though. I'd love to have all this talent that's good enough to be maxed out. Right now, however, we need some surefire veteran help and we have the cap space right now and next year to add it with no problem at all. We need to take advantage of it while we can.

I agree, our window for FA will become worse than now, we will always have exemptions to sign our own. Horford or bust ;)

The one type of player I'd target is someone who can split between SF/PF since we have flexibility everywhere but there. LaVine can play PG/SG, Wiggins SG/SF, and Dieng/Towns PF/C. Positional flexibility is huge for both match up purposes as well as keeping your top players on the court. Jeff Green and Marvin Williams could be a couple options.

Atlanta allows the lowest FG% in the league (except when they play us). I would love me some Sefolosha. He's the perfect wing player to help our defense. I know he's 31 but he's got some tread left and he only makes 4 Mill a year. I'd love me some Sefolosha and a younger version of him like Patrick McCaw.

I agree this very much. Sefolosha would be great bench wing for us to play both wing positions. He is not free agent this summer but maybe Atlanta would trade him to Bazz or maybe they would want Payne back. :d

Yes, Thad would have been that type of player. He would have been also great fit for running game and somehow he has been this season stud also in rebounding even though Brooklyn has been better defensive rebounding team than Wolves are currently.

Still I think Marvin Williams might be even better fit than Thad because he is legit 3-point shooter. He has had really good season in Charlotte and would be great 3&D stretch four option in free agent market this summer. Jeff Green I don't want at all.

I'm all for signing Marvin Williams too in free agency. Charlotte has a lot of free agents to try to resign: Jefferson, Batum, Courtney Lee, Williams and Jeremy Lin.

My offseason plan:
Hire JVG as POBO and allow him to either coach the team himself, or allow him to hire a coach of his choice, which I think would likely be Thibs.

Draft Buddy Hield at 5, but listen to offers, especially from the Nuggets if Sabonis falls to 10 (where they're currently slotted at) that trade would be 5 for 10 and 15 and at 15 I'd take Timothe Luwawu, who's kind of raw but could be a great 3 and D wing in a few years.

Trade Shabazz for Mike Scott, to add some versatility to our bench. Atlanta adds some bench scoring.

Trade Bjelica and Houston's 2nd rounder to San Antonio for their 2nd rounder. I feel like the Spurs could turn Bjelica around and he seems to fit their general player type, but I don't have much hope for him in Minnesota and this would clear his salary.

Assuming KG retires we would have a great deal of cap space. So, I would offer Nic Batum 20 million a year for 3 years and Joakim Noah 12 million for 2 years.
