I think we'd be better off getting a 3 and letting Wiggins play more on the second unit next to Tyus in the back court depending on who we draft. I'm not a fan of getting a pure SG when Zach should get a bulk of the minutes and Wiggins is probably going to need to play there as well to get Bazz any minutes. Either get a combo guard who can play some legitimate PG minutes or let Zach and Wiggins be your rotation at the 2 and get a better 3 than Bazz to take a good chunk of minutes there.

Wiggins is going to play 38 minutes per night under Thibs. That's your starting point when you start trying to figure out how to fit everyone else in. I hope Zach starts at the 2 and maybe gets a few point guard minutes. Court time is limited for everyone else vying for time at the wing positions.

Didn't know where to put this.

Looks like the Celtics are having no luck moving #3 for a quality veteran despite multiple efforts.

Interesting. Would anyone trade LaVine for the 3rd pick in this draft? (unless I am sold on Bender I wouldn't)

Would you trade most of those players for #3? I wouldn't even consider it. They are aiming pretty high.

Interesting how little they are valuing Monroe
Celtics trade: Picks Nos. 31 and 51
Milwaukee Bucks trade: center Greg Monroe
Why Boston does it: This time a year ago, Monroe was one of the most coveted free agents on the market, and his $17.4 million salary is far less than the current max. He wasn't a great fit in Milwaukee -- and got unfairly blamed for much larger structural problems that caused the Bucks to regress last season -- but Monroe can still score efficiently.
He could fit with the Celtics much like Okafor, and both would benefit from Boston's terrific perimeter defense.
Why Milwaukee does it: Indications are the Bucks want to move Monroe, which would give them far more flexibility with regard to the salary cap and their starting lineup. Getting the valuable top pick of the second round would be something of a win -- and a do-over -- at this point.

Re: Official 2016 Offseasont Thread (Free Agents/Trades/Front Office Moves)
Another trade from the article.
Celtics trade: No. 35 pick
Minnesota Timberwolves trade: forward Bojan Dubljevic
Why Boston does it: In all likelihood, the Celtics will just draft several international prospects in the second round to stash for the future. But that's not the way this exercise works!
So instead let's just have Boston deal for the rights to a player already drafted. Dubljevic, the No. 59 pick in 2013, was a key part of a Valencia team that finished a game back of better-funded powers FC Barcelona and Real Madrid in the ACB this season. He averaged 24.9 points and 10.9 rebounds per 36 minutes in ACB play and is a dangerous shooter from the FIBA 3-point line. Still just 24, Dubljevic could eventually help the Celtics as a reserve.
Why Minnesota does it: Dubljevic was drafted two regimes ago, so it's unclear how the current Timberwolves management views his potential. He also won't likely come to the NBA until 2017 (when he can opt out of his contract) at the earliest. Minnesota can pick up a valuable pick early in the second round and draft someone who might help the team now.

Re: Official 2016 Offseasont Thread (Free Agents/Trades/Front Office Moves)
It's likely to me that Dubljevic as he is right now would be a first rounder if he was in this class. So, trading him for a second rounder makes very, very little sense in terms of value. No need to make a move like that.
If you want a second round pick bad enough, you can get one via purchasing one or even trading Rudez's non-guaranteed contract for someone who's guaranteed could possibly get you second round compensation. Again, there's other ways to do it rather than trading away a talented big who will eventually be a cheap addition to this team when we'll need them.

Dirk opted out too, I know he would cost too much and I'm not for going after a big name. What do you guys think his price tag will be? I like Affolo too, but as LST pointed out, a little overrated. He'd be a great backup guard for 8 million, but I'm guessing he'll get more than that.
