What are the chances we still trade Dunn?

I'll say it in this thread (got to the draft excitement late) that I am more ok with Dunn being picked since Bender was off the board.

What gets me excited about Dunn is his defense and he is a really easy guy to cheer for.

Another positive aspect of Dunn that can't be overlooked is toughness. I played college basketball in New London (don't be impressed...low D3 b-ball) and also went to several high school games there. I can vouch that you need to be very tough to play in that league. Ha, you had to be tough to be in the stands too, because more often than not a fight would break out between opposing fans! I was in that gym one classic night when bitter rival Norwalk visited, and the gym was packed with fans from both teams. In the third quarter, some New London fans started harassing Calvin Murphy's mom (Calvin's younger brother Bobby Miller was a star for Norwalk, as Calvin had been a few years earlier) a couple rows in front of me, and she walloped one of them with her purse. A huge fight broke out and I quickly looked for an exit. My friend was a local guy, and he told me something I have never forgotten: "Let's get up to the top row...riots also move down!" We did that, and had a great (and safe) view of a terrific fight that indeed did migrate down to the court.

Dunn was tough enough to play in that league and the Big East...he'll be a tough player for the Wolves.

I think less than 20%. although there was so much noise about Russell and Butler deals, something could still happen, and Philly could use a PG more than one of their many bigs.

While I'm on board with Dunn, I think a Russell for Dunn trade would be good for both the Wolves and the Lakers.

I am guessing it s higher then that. Once the new cap is in place things it will be easier to make trades. I would love Russell on this team. I think moving Rubio gets a lot easier at that point too. I still think Rubio will be better then Dunn over next 3 years. I think Russell will be better then both in right situation.

Well, I was disappointed we passed on Buddy, but Dunn was my second choice. Seems like a solid player and high character guy.

LST I felt this way even when I hadn't embraced Dunn as a the pick and it looked like we may move him and I still feel the same way. I think Russell may be more talented than Dunn but I say no to that deal because of DEFENSE. Dunn easily projects to be the better player there. If you can get a decent PG talent that has the physical and general consensus of being able to D up especially even on SGs that does sound like a good player. Imagine if you could get a better shooting, stronger, better attitude version of MCW that also actually plays really good defense. That would be a nice player. Plus Dunn (compared to Russell will be cheaper and have him at that lower cost for another year and comes with zero baggage.

National media grades for the Wolves' draft are all very positive. The lowest grade I have seen is a B+, and USA Today gave us the only A+ in the lottery.

I love the Dunn pick. And I want both Rubio and Dunn on this team next year, too. So the numerous reports about Rubio being available is a bummer for me. But until something happens, it is useless to fret over it.

We have been so bad when Rubio is not on the floor. Rubio, some vet PG retread and Tyus was not something to look forward to next season. I don't know how the Rubio/Dunn tandem will pan out over the next few seasons, but I am feeling real good about our PG position!
