I understand the non-shooting lineup woes, but Simmons right this second is a better player than Rubio, and he's around $10M cheaper per year. He's got a chance to be one of those super-superstars that make the playoffs by himself.

no way on the NBA level. it's not how it works.

I've simplified my criteria for anyone we draft: They need the potential to either be a great shooter or great defender - ideally both. If they don't meet that criteria, then he shouldn't even be considered. Someone else can have Ben Simmons if he can't (or isn't willing) to do either of these things.

I agree. My criteria for who the "BPA" is weighs defensive potential and shooting potential above nearly all else. If the person can't do either of these things well, they aren't "BPA" in my book.

If we end up with the 5th pick in this draft. Would you take Kris Dunn?

I think that at the point I'd look to trade it for a guy who's a couple years in, like Julius Randle.

I don't think I would give up a lottery pick for Julius Randle. I would rather have Russell then Dunn so I could see that trade.

Seems like an impressive prospect, plus he'll be a 4-year college guy, so theoretically he'll be more physically and mentally ready for the NBA than your typical 19 or 20 year old.

I am not a huge fan of him personally. I would like someone that has more to offer on offense.
