After the top four teams, the West just isn't very good this year...36 wins means playoffs.
2 games out with only 57 left to play may seem like an insurmountable deficit to make up and it would certainly be an historic comeback, but I've done the math and it appears we are not yet mathematically eliminated. I'm not giving up despite the enormous 2 game deficit.
NO 2016 PICK...WE DON'T NEED IT!
Heh, patience my friend. Given enough time, this team is capable of lowering itself to places unforeseen by even the most pessimistic Wolves fans.
I predict our next win won't come until early January, either on Jan 2 (we have the Bucks at home) or Jan 4 when we go on the road to play Philly. By then we'll all but be mathematically eliminated.
I'm not that impressed by anyone on Kentucky watching them today. Skal is being misused as a post guy when he should be going the Aldridge route and be a PnP God. He's missing 20lbs Towns had that let him operate in the post somewhat effectively. Murray and Briscoe really force a lot of bad offense. Ulis is the only steady force and he's just lacking the explosion he would need at his height and length to be an impact PG at the next level.
I'm on record as saying we're going to be awarded a top 3 pick this year. That means it could be any of one of the top 3 spots. That might not mean much at face value, but with my track record I think you have to pay attention. Another young stud isn't going to hurt us going forward. If it's Simmons, even better. But this will be the last year we are in the lottery for 10 - 12 years.
Just some info updates on past prospects that we've had or talked about a lot, because i'm bored.
AB-14 total points this year
Stanley Johnson-per game 8 points, 3 boards
Frank the tank-per game, 5 point, 3 boards
Stauskas-per game, 7.5 points, 2 boards
Jahlil Okafor per game 17.9 pts, 8 boards
Jabari Parker per game 11 pts, 4.2 boards
Murray went off in the second half for Kentucky but pretty much all but around two shots were catch and shoot telling me he's an undersized two. Whenever he was the ball handler he would force some bad plays and do dumb things like pick up his dribble in the corners or just taking on too many defenders when he would drive and turn the ball over. Whenever he was playing off the ball he was playing great getting open off screens and knocking down open shots. Calipari confuses the hell out of me sometimes. Last year in the tourney, Towns was crushing Wisconsin in the post in the second half and then they just stopped feeding him the ball. Today Murray couldn't miss in the second half coming off screens and they close the game out with Murray bringing the ball up the last few possessions. I think Cal is pretty bad at in-game adjustments and puts a lot of blame on players when his game plans don't work out instead of making the adjustments he should.
What do you guys think of DeJuan Blair? He has a team option of just over 2 million next year, I think he'd be a great big to have, a poor man's Emeka Okafor? I've always liked him. He's only 26

I can't believe he is only 26. He has the girth this team needs but it also sounds like last year he was out of shape and fat for the the Wiz. Maybe he is in better shape this year idk. I've always liked him
If we can't get one of the 4 or 5 blue chip bigs and forwards, Kris Dunn is someone to like if we want a pg. He is near the top in both assists and steals.
We hopefully will have only one second rounder as we either lose our first or our second round pick and we have Houston's pick as long as its not in the top 45.
