It's late and I'd like to get some feedback on a completely unrealistic trade topic. I'd like to read some takes on this.

Here we are in Fantasyland...

Minnesota has more lottery luck, wins 2016 No. 1 overall pick...

Who says no?

MIN: A. Wiggins, No. 1 pick

NOLA: A. Davis

Man that is tough, but I think I go with Simmons and Wiggins over AD. This has as much to do with what I feel about Towns as anything. If we get the the first pick to add to our young core. I think Simmons ability to rebounds and handle the rock will be something special in the NBA. Adding him Towns, LaVine, and Wiggins would be magic.

As high as the upside in Wiggins/Simmons would be, it'd be too tough to not take the for sure star player in Davis and put him next to Towns. That would create so many problems for opposing teams. We'd have a hole at SF, but then you can probably feel a little better about throwing big money at Batum or even rolling the dice on Barnes with a max offer sheet.

Fun trade idea, but I think pelicans say no. They have a top 5 player in Davis and while I like Wiggins no given that he becomes a top 15 player and there is no given that simmons will dominate at the next level. So I would keep the top 5 player that we know about instead of the hope that 2 players become top 20 players

Can't really lose either way. I think Simmons could be the best of the bunch, but still the decide for me was AD seems miss 10-20 games a year.

I'd absolutely do it, but I don't think NOLA trades Davis for anyone. He's the youngest of the group of guys pushing for MVP every year and those caliber players don't come around often. We wouldn't even need Batum. Hell, Bazemore would be good enough as a 3&D wing for that team.

I wouldn't do it because I still believe Wiggins is going to be a very good player and #1 overall pick should at least be an above average starter. I know quality over quantity but it's a little different when the quantity guys are possible multiple all-star level talent type guys themselves and plenty of upside they aren't just solid chump players. The final factor is AD having problems staying healthy which like Bleed is the deciding factor in me saying no. If anyone was worth that deal for the Wolves it's AD which is why you proposed it.

Wolves Say No: 2 (bleed, monster)

Pelicans Say No: 1 (kek)

Wolves Say Yes: 2 (Cam, khans)

I'll keep track of this throughout the day because I think it really is an interesting hypothetical scenario. I also think it's probably the only trade offer that could get Davis at the moment, if there even is such an offer that would exist.

One last thing is you don't just hold onto your own guy/s of you think you can really improve your team but I think if the decision is tougher teams tend to hold onto their own guys (makes sense for a number or reasons marketing human element etc) especially if you value them and they are good guys which AD and Wiggins seem to be. That would clearly be some sort of factor for both franchises in this hypothetical deal.
