Instead of looking to draft someone we should be looking to trade the pick. Maybe we can deal pek and our pick and dieng for cousins. Otherwise someway work a deal for lillard.

Not sure why there isn't any discussion of Jamal Murray in this thread. He's a PG and many here feel we need someone with shooting ability who can eventually take the reins from Ricky. Murray is a PG and he's putting up shooting/scoring stats comparable to Dunn and others mentioned in this thread. Yet, he's doing it as a freshman compared to the others who are either juniors or seniors.

There's been some chatter of Murray. I liked what I had seen from him pre-season (Canadian play mainly), but that rough first month or two made me cautious. He's heated back up as of late and has put his name back on my radar. I think with him, though, I'm really put off by his defense. It's bad. He's a liability on that end and I don't think we need that. Offensively, man, sky's the limit.

Also, I've brought up Allen a couple times on this board too. He's another guy that's scoring in bunches with great efficiency. I bet his TS% is probably over .600 and I haven't even looked in a while. He's just always nice from the field, over 40% from 3 and above 80% from the line with high volume on all three. And it doesn't take long to see his feel for the game when you watch the guy. It's impressive. Still a sophomore and just 20-years old.

Pipe dream. Lillard's untouchable.

Thanks for the analysis, Cam. I haven't seen Murray play this season, so I haven't witnessed his poor defense. I agree that would be problematic for this team. I'll be sure to watch Allen going forward.

I don't like the idea of trading the pick. This is hopefully the last chance to add a top level talent to grow with the guys we have. We need to make this pick count even if they don't turn into a star even just a quality starter would be big for this franchise.

Not sure what's going on there, but seems like another little flag is raised on this kid. Just enormously talented, but not sure about the heart.....

Assuming we are out of the top 3, I'm still thinking along the lines of Dunn-Valentine-Hield.

Q, I don't know how much free time you have, but I'd like you to watch whatever you can on Sabonis and tell me what you think. I think he'd be a guy you'd be seriously interested in too. He's more of a traditional PF so don't expect to see many jumpers. That's not his game, though, he does make his FTs this year. Also, he's a really strong defender from what I've watched, both man and team. Guy's built like Thor too.

Unfortunately I don't watch nearly enough college basketball, so I mostly rely on guys like you and the draft sites to get info. I'll watch a lot more in March where hopefully Gonzaga will get some air time. Sabonis definitely sounds like an intriguing prospect. His rebounding looks off the charts good.

Can Grayson Allen play PG in the NBA? (this is a serious question because of he can do it fulltime then he has major upside)

I am shocked where he is slated. Ellenson doesn't get enough discussion here because of the Dunn chatter.

I think he could be a scoring PG in today's NBA, though other sites may strictly say he's a SG. He handles the rock for Duke a ton. I keep watching him and most impressive is his feel for the game.

Cam, Good stuff. I am suprised him and Sabaonis don't get more love. Do you think Saboaonis is a Scola type player at the NBA level?
